The Eurasian Republic general election, January 2006

The Eurasian Republic Prime Ministerial election took place from 18th January to 28th January, with the actual polling taking place from 26th January to 28th January. As expected by most observers, the two running candidates were SocioDemocratic Liberal Party (SDLP) leader and Prime Minister Sir Callum McKayle, and Liberal Socialist leader and opposition leader Dr Joseph Edwards. Although early results put the two parties neck-and-neck, the eventual runaway winner, with over 70% of the vote, was Sir Callum McKayle.
