GIRAFFES GOOD FOR MONADNOCK AND MONANDOCK GOOD FOR GIRAFFE

The Giraffe Sanctuary of Monadnock is what it sounds like--a sanctuary for giraffes. With our tall trees, and many of them, we figured it was the perfect place for giraffes to come when people realized they were too big to be that cute and cuddly little animal they bought for Suzie or Johnie on Christmas. Giraffes can come to Monadnock, grow old, and roam free. Having such a large giraffe population has brought an added bonus to Monadnock and the population here--tourists. Our giraffes are protected, they can only be shot with a camera, and believe me, we sell more than our fair share of cameras here. Our hotels are full, year round and we're already making bookings into late 2006. We also are selling newborn giraffes to reputable zoos around the world looking for new and clean DNA lines to introduce into their own flocks. Scientists and zoologists from all over have flocked to Monadnock to study giraffes in their habitat. Studying them here is much safer than many of the warring regions in Africa. We've been very careful to grow in greehouses the plant life preferred by giraffes but have also discovered that giraffes are adaptable to new food entered into their diet.
