The Uncomplete History of Cookesland

Early History

In 1532, the Cookboroughan explorer, Valentino Cooke explored many parts of the Sunrise Islands, whereas at the time only a few areas were known. He first sailed across the Sea of Cookborough and landed at what is now Delray Beach. Cooke claimed the land for Cookborough and it's sovereigns, giving the Latin name Chelseia. A settlement was established and soon after the land became a colony, now renamed Cooke's Land in the explorer's honor. However the name Chelseia remains as the Latin name for Cookesland.  
   

Several centuries passed and the original Cookboroughan settlers of the region were joined by others from around the region, who sought freedom from their oppresive governments or unfair situations. By now, the lands known as Cookesland was split into 4 separate colonies: Nicktenstein, Pauanui, Saria Island, and Windonesia. The colonists, as time went on, became more self-reliant and began to govern themselves more efficently than their Cookboroughan sovereigns. So in 1770 the colonists declared their independence from Cookborough. The Emperor immediatly sent troops into the colonies to restore his authority.

The Cookeslandic War of Independence lasted from 1770 to 1781 when the colonists were granted their independence from Cookborough. or several years the colonies existed as independent states. Then on September 17, 1785 the 1st Colonial Congress send the Declaration of Sovereignty to the Emperor
