The Holiday Revolution is the actual invasion and annexation of the Republic of Ireland into the U.S.S.R. that occured on December 20, 2004.The invasion has been deemed the Holiday Revolution by the Political Bureau; however, the rest of the world (including the United Nations) refers to it as The Celtic Invasion or The Irish Blitzkrieg. The debate over whether it was a revolution or a foreign invasion are still ongoing.

December 20, 2004

Off the coast of Dublin, Republic of Ireland sat the first actually used Totaltarian Class Command Dreadnaught - the WPS Lena. It sat quietly amongst the 9th Battlegroup, awaiting orders from Moscow. Soon enough they would reach the massive invasion force, but not before the Holiday Revolution began. While the ten naval forces sat waiting and the hundreds of paratroopers began final preparation to be dropped on strategically important cities such as Cork, Dublin, and Galway; Irish Republican and Revolutionary Armed Forces Abroad soldiers began storming these strategic cities. Automatic gunfire would run out in the middle of the dark, stormy night as each provinicial government was rapidly removed from power.

Upon hearing of the revolts occuring, Admiral Pushinkov was ordered to begin the naval invasion. Landing ships began slamming into the beachs and harbors all across Ireland. The WPS Lena also awakened, using its massive 26 inch guns to fire artillery into the city of Dublin, rapidly decimating the city. Aircraft flying from a Loveless and Lovert class aircraft carriers fly out to meet the oncoming Irish fighters, dog-fighting throughout the night - only to lose four Soviet aircraft.

The Irish military were unaware of what was occuring - thus it would be come to be known as the Irish Blitzkrieg. RAFA-IRA sleeper cells began activating all across the Celtic regime. Explosions riddled through every city of the Republic as plastique explosives detonated trucks filled with phosogene and other appauling, virrulent chemicals. T-90 and ST-90 tanks slammed out of warehouses all across Ireland - piloted by RAFA members - and began confronting Republican Guards.

In the heart of the island, Soviet paratroopers fell from the skies by the thousands, landing in the middle of battle. They ran into the depths of urban warfare, their AK-109's and M-4's firing into the lush jungle of steel and concrete. Enemies of the workers were rounded up in the easily occupied towns and villages; they were lined up infront of ditches they themselves dug, then executed by IRA-RAFA officers. Lye was sprinkled over them - just to insure their bodies would not be tampered with.

B-90 bombers began their runs, dropping large ammounts unguided bombs - carpet bombing - onto civilian, industrial, and military centers indiscriminately. Thermobaric intercontinental ballistic missiles were fired from unnamed locations in the Mongolian SSR only to impact Dublin, Limerick, and Waterford. These massive munitions were only surpassed by submarine launched neutron bombs fired at known Irish Republican Army mobilisation points across the Republic - effectively neutralizing them before they could even enter battle.

December 21-31, 2004

Over the next eleven days, the onslaught by Soviet troops would continue. More paratrooper drops were initiated and more neutron missiles fired on key military centers. Executions of anti-Soviet intellectuals, soldiers, and government officials became a well recognised sight. The sound of digging machinery woke up each and every member of each and every town across Ireland - each knowing that the Red Army were digging more graves for their political opponents.

Her Majesty's British Army, Navy, and Airforce, however, did not attack - they knew the Soviets wouldn't hesitate in finishing off Ireland and turning their eye to the United Kingdom. The simple presence of Soviet soliders in Dundalk was enough of a warning to the British to keep to their own affairs. The British House of Commons already knew it would only be a matter of time before the Red Army would be marching through London and taking prisoner anyone who had spoken badly of the communists in the past century.

On December 25, 2004 a cobalt bomb accidently fell outside of Monaghan, Ireland - killing nearly 300,000 Irish refugees wishing to flee to the United Kingdom. This single act closed the border between the Republic and the United Kingdom - destroying any chance of Irish citizens to escape the Soviets. This dropping of a salted munition also completely contaminated the area around Monaghan - making life their impossible for hundreds of years. The blast was so powerful, that a satellite passing over the area picked up the electromagnetic waves of the explosion causing an image distortion. The distorted satellite image can be found here.

January 1-17, 2005

In the last days of the war, the Irish Republican Army was officially abolished and all conscripts were merged into the Revolutionary Armed Forces Abroad. During this time period, it is rumored that the remnants of the Irish government were trying to negotiate pleas for peace and the handing over of Ireland to the Soviet Union occured; but Troskin and the Political Bureau refused wishing to completely destroy all forms of the former regime.

Thus, a demoralised Irish Republican Army were forced to continue battling Soviets. The Irish soldiers who survived the battle stated that while they surrendered, machine gun fire from Soviet tanks and infantry fighting vehivles began mowing them down by the hundreds - but this is usually dismissed as slander by the Soviet Political Bureau.

Fighting lulled during the last week of the war. Soviet soldiers were advancing by hundreds of miles daily, closer and closer to Dublin from the rear. They would, however, hold out of the city until the final day of the Holiday Revolution.

January 18, 2005

The Red Army and Revolutionary Armed Forces Abroad stormed into what remained of the city of Dublin. The Executive Complex was quickly siezed by the joint coalition and a surrender was formally announced. The former government officials were arrested and imprisoned - some executed - in Soviet holding facilities across Siberia. Ireland had finally been taken by an invading force.

Conclusion

The Holiday Revolution resulted in the forming of the Irish Soviet Socialist Republic and creating a land-border between the U.S.S.R. and the U.K. Many suspect this will result in an iminent invasion of Great Britian and the destruction and surrender of the European Union - causing the whole of Europe to fall behind the Iron Curtain. This is yet to be seen.
