The Paan Currency Association

Overview

The Paan Currency Association (PCA) is a multinational, cross-regional economic association. Members of this association historically used paan, a popular Indian snackfood, as currency, and its name dates back from this period. It is currently restructuring under a framework of strong political, economic, and military alignment, after falling into disuse under an ineffective currency union. They are an aligned UN bloc that votes identically in all UN matters, and espouse the political philosophies of Unity, Democracy, Education, Equality, and Environmentalism in their day-to-day issue decision-making. It also has a centralized military, known as the Camel Liberation Army, or CLA, whose missions are peacemaking and bloc security. The union stresses the preservation of a cultural identity alongside the modernization of societal values. If the secretary-general nation deems that any member nation has veered from the objectives of the union, the nation's government has the authority to revoke their membership and the associated benefits. The secretary-general nation is accountable to the other chief members and regular status members, who may collectively vote to overthrow the secretary general and install a new nation in place if they deem the nation's conduct to be unacceptable. All nations will employ the use of a centralized flag and motto, and will name their currency the [insert nation's name here] Paan Unit. All member nations must use the consistent flag and motto.

The organization's governor-general is Padma De Alwis--it is modelled after her and is in honour of her. Anything she says with relation to the organization is instantly instilled--she can appoint, monitor, or disband anyone, and may restructure or re-organize the organization as she sees fit. She is the sole one with the authority to dissolve the organization. Being a spiritual leader to the organization, her word on anything and everything is final and greatly worshipped.
