BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The absolute ruler of the Allied States of Pax Fundatas and Supreme Commander of the Allied Armies, Kalinatus Paxem created the office of Patrician to be the autocrat over all 5 city-states and head of the federal government of the new nation. A formidable politician and extremely intelligent individual, Kalinatus is rightly feared and respected by his opponents and held in reverence by the citizens of Pax Fundatas. He is quick to use ruthless methods to achieve his aims, but even quicker to use diplomacy and tact. The Patrician is popular at present in the Allied States, while his administration is young, though what his plans for the nation's future are remain to be seen.
PERSONAL APPEARANCE
The Patrician is tall, thin and pale, with short, black hair and a fine goatee. He has never been seen in any clothes that are not black since the funeral of his parents. Kalinatus has not taken any regalia or iconography to himself since becoming Patrician and maintains his modestly elegant image. His most iconic feature, besides the colour black, is probably a raised eyebrow.
PERSONAL HISTORY
Kalinatus Paxem was born in 1976 in the city of Polisprima. His father was a notable member of the Polisprima Senate, a body of aristocratic men who acted as a legislative body for the city. His mother was the heiress of a wealthy industrialist in the retail industry, though little is known about either of them. They were assassinated on the 22nd June 1990, probably on the orders of Polisprima's King, Grenzago V. The intelligent Kalinatus was taken in by his grandfather and inducted into the Senate at the age of 18, the youngest serving Senator in Polisprima's history. It was not clear at the time that any intentions were kept against the increasingly tyrannical king, but the fact that Paxem continued to wear the mourning garments long after the tradition requires was likely not a coincidence.
