The Peninsula of Rotheria

The Peninsula of Rotheria was the capital of the Rotherian Empire. It is notable as having 79 conquests in its history.

Phases of the Government of Rotheria

History

The Peninsula of Rotheria was co-founded by Tutupelo and Glantil. At first the region was simply a messageboard which frequently consisted of debates over insignificant. However, Glantil recruited tirelessly and by 2006 the region had a population of 40 nations. Aetheronian Republics and Ickea who had both been recruited in late January worked in co-operation with Glantil and Tutupelo to explore the reform of the system to create an imperialist empire. The Rotherian Empire was the result.

Under the new constitution the Peninsula of Rotheria was made the capital of the empire and Tutupelo was made its Emperor with limited executive power. The first Chancellor was Glantil with Ickea made Vice-Chancellor and Aetheronian Republics made Foreign Affairs Minister. Alliances were formed with the mount doom, the federated states and the Regional Defenders (TRD). Glantil's policy of constantly recycling used United Nations Puppets in the Basin of Europe and anonymous conquests lead to the Rotherian Empire being largely unknown and therefore few defender organisations learnt of its existence.

With the resignation of Glantil in late April Lindallion became Chancellor. Lindallion delegated most raiding responsibility to Mr Shiggle; the newly appointed Defence Minister. Lidallion put emphasis on the empire's offsite forum rather then on conquests which meant that when the forum suddenly crashed in mid-June which coincided with an extended absence of Mr Shiggle Rotheria became inactive and a recession from the 60 nations to just over 30 meant that Tutupelo was forced to dismiss Lindallion and appoint Ickea to the Chancellery.

Ickea rebuilt the forum but like Lindallion before him he neglected the military and did not stand for re-election as Chancellor. Ickea, Lindallion, PUDARF, Ahronire, Aussie Federation and the Northern Peninsula founded the Six Letters Party with The MCC Federation, Aetheronian Republics, Mr Shiggle, Pie Netherworlds, D00MTOPIA and Evil Baztards forming the opposing Imperial Party. Ahronire in a closely contested contest against Aetheronian Republics was elected as the new Chancellor.

Ahronire attempted to reform the region into a Republic, however, Tutupelo quickly felt betrayed and dismissed Ahronire. Aetheronian Republics became the new Chancellor and reformed the military into the Rotherian Imperial Expeditionary Force (RIEF) and the Rotherian Imperial Intelligence Agency (RIIA) which lead to the rapid conquest of over 20 regions in a month. At the start of July conquered it's former allies- the Mount Doom- after a dispute between its governments. Activity soared and the MCC Federation as Interior Minister mannaged to put the Peninsula of Rotheria up to 70 nations.

Aetheronian Republics failed in a liberation attempt of Indian Ocean. They were encouraged to invade by Disaster Point; a nation that claimed to be an ejected native of Indian Ocean. Wincapowley, the delegate, was deposed and Disaster Point purged the region of native United Nations Member Nations. Disaster Point publicly disclosed his benefactors which meant that defenders around the world began to know about the Rotherian Empire's existence. Disaster Point refused to eject Wincapowley or password protect the region and therefore the region was constantly being attacked by defenders all of which Disaster Point repelled.

The Senior Executive advised Aetheronian Republics to stay in Indian Ocean which put the RIEF's conquests to a standstill and damaged Aetheronian Republics' credibility. Ahronire took advantage of Tutupelo's increased inactivity to seize the delegacy of the Peninsula of Rotheria and by password protecting the capital ruled with a reign of terror. When Tutupelo returned Ahronire convinced the Emperor that Aetheronian Republics needed to be dismissed. Tutupelo complied and Ahronire became Chancellor.

However, when Mr Shiggle was ordered to withdraw the RIEF from Indian Ocean he refused and seized almost half of the empire's territories. This caused Tutupelo to panic and he took martial control of the rest of the empire. The RIEF agreed to hand back control of its new conquests in return for a new democratic system. Ahronire and the Six Letters Party seceded and founded the Fabled Halls of Rotheria as the capital of the new Rotherian Imperial Republic with Lindallion as President and PUDARF as Chancellor.

In retalliation the RIIA invaded four colonies and founded Baka Inc which was ruled by the Order of a New Rotherian Empire. It recruited constantly and reached 40 nations, however, it collapsed due to inactivity. Mr Shiggle left for Mr Shiggle Party Regions and Aussie Federation left the new Republic for a newly founded the Pacific of the Southern Aurora. The Peninsula of Rotheria became an empty shell and with the death of Tutupelo the Rotherian Empire was declared dead by Aetheronian Republics.

Ickea, Aetheronian Republics, Evil Baztards and the MCC Federation emigrated to Zurich where they are now active defenders.

Style of Address

During the Rotherian Empire the following officials were formally addressed to as:

• The Chancellor: ‘the Most Honourable, the Chancellor of the Rotherian Empire’ or ‘the Most Honourable, the Grand Delegate’ or ‘the Most Honourable, the Grand Delegate of the Capital of the Rotherian Empire’ or for military purposes ‘the Most Honourable, the Commander-in-Chief of the Rotherian Empire’.

• The Founder of the Capital: ‘his Gracious Highness the Grand Founder’ or ‘his Gracious Highness the Emperor of the Rotherian Empire’ or ‘his Gracious Highness the Grand Founder of the Capital of the Rotherian Empire’ or ‘his Gracious Highness the Head of State of the Rotherian Empire.’

• The Vice-Chancellor: ‘the Right Honourable, the Vice-Chancellor of the Rotherian Empire’ or ‘the Right Honourable, the Lord Minister of the Rotherian Empire.’

• High Minister: ‘the Right Honourable, High Minister’ or ‘the Right Honourable, [the position in the cabinet they hold] of the Rotherian Empire.’

• The Foreign Affairs Minister: ‘the Right Honourable, the Grand Diplomat’ or ‘the Right Honourable, the Grand Ambassador.’
