History of the Pheonix Fleet

The Pheonix Fleet was founded by the Independents as the 4th Fleet in the battle with the war against the Alliance. The 4th Fleet, dubbed the Pheonix Fleet after it's falg ship, the ISS Pheonix, served heroicly throughout the war. The Admiral of the fleet, Admiral Joss Niall was awarded the Medal of Honor, after he single handedly saved the 22nd and 57th Overlanders at the Battle of Du-Khang, as his command shuttle takes out an Alliance Battalion rolling in on the 22nd's position in 2510

Admiral Niall was sent out toinvestigate rumors that a group called "Reavers" where harrasing Haven. The fleet destroyed a Reaver Hunting party, only to be told that the Independents had surrendered.  : Refusing to surrender, Admiral Niall started raiding Alliance Shiping. They came across a prison ship loaded with Independents and Political Criminals. Liberating the ship, The Fleet renovated it into a form of mobile apartment complex, to house the growing number of civilians fleeing the Alliance. Soon, large ships began to join the fleet, and the civilian government was formed.

The Pheonix Fleet Today

Today, the Pheonix Fleet is the largest Nomadic Starfleet in the system. It is comprised of ships of all shapes and sizes. The Following List contains the most important ships in the fleet.
