The Serene^Union

The Serene^Union is the pre-title of the nation Kaenei, centered upon Earth. The term describes a considerable period of time in Kaeneian history between planetfall of the first colonising vessels and the formation of national goverment, in which Kaeneian provinces ruled themselves as fully functional independent states.
To mark their successful, and utterly peaceful integration [and subsequent union] together it was decided forever onwards from that point Kaenei would refer to itself also as "The Serene^Union."
The "^" character represents a dramatic pause, in order to lend appreciation upon the term- e.g. The Serene *beat* Union of Kaenei.
