A small country, about the size and shape of the state of Michigan, The Shotgun Seat is nonetheless quite large in population. This is in large part due to the sprawling capital city, which takes up almost half of the entire country. Sections of this city are bought and sold by corporations, the real government power in The Shotgun Seat.

The East penninsula is a protected forest area, with only the small naturalist settlement there having any sort of population. In all other portions of the country you will find a massive highway system, designed similar to the Autobahn in Germany. This stretches all the way to the Imperial Complex, which is a city-sized home for the symbolic national leader, ansd is automobile accessible.

The government system appears Monarchical at first, however that is often just a distraction to draw the population's attention away from the corporations who run the country. Some citizens have figured this out, however, and excersise their right to vote by buying stock in companies who they want in power, or selling stock of those who fall out of favor.

Traditionally, all emperors of The Shotgun Seat take on a new name at their crowing ceremony - usually Emperor Henry the __. The current Emperor is Henry the XXI, also known as Blackjack Henry or Hank Black. He is a tall, imposing figure - often dressed in his namesake color with a matching wide brimmed cowboy hat. He has made a reputation for being wild, crazy, and unpredictable - and thus is the perfect leader for a country such as this. No one knows where he was born or what his name was, but rumors say he hailed from Natural Heights - thus explaining his opposition to its industrialization.
