The Spectre War is the accumulation of years of Soviet-British strife and hatred between the Soviet Union and the European Union. It ended witht the destruction of all non-Soviet governments in Europe and the installation of Soviet republics. By the end of the conflict, over five million civilians would be dead, and the Queen of England would be killed.

Causes

The Spectre War was an inevitable conflict that the Soviet Union had been preparing for ever since the fall of the United States. Tensions between Westernized Europe and capitalist nations built until climax. The Soviet Union initiated the violence by introducing revolutionary and radical cells into the United Kingdom and Europe (including the RAFA) which built into the first phase of their strategy.

Most nations around the world condemned the invasion of the whole of non-Soviet Europe; however, socialist states around the world praised the destruction of the "European, bourgeois, cultural hegemony" as "one of the greatest advancements of the worker in this century."

Strategy

From the start of the war, the U.S.S.R. based it's strategy around a four-phase tactic. This strategy would come to be known as the Troskin Doctrine due to Premier Troskin's alleged personal planning of the war. In short, it consisted of the following:

  • Phase One: Internal strife. Revolutionary and militantly radical organizations would be activated within the country and commence in strategic, political, symbolic, and industrial strikes in an attempt to weaken the nation.
  • Phase Two: Isolation. The Soviet Union would effectively cut the target nation off from the outside world via communication satellite destruction, telecommunications destruction, etc. This would destroy all hope for contacting the outside world in a quick manner.
  • Phase Three: Bombing and sabotage. Within the target nation, the previously used guerilla forces would attempt to sabotage military installations (almost exclusively ballistic missile defense systems) to allow the Soviet Union to launch nuclear, thermobaric, and conventional ballistic missiles to destroy key areas of interest. This phase also include mass bombings of key areas.
  • Phase Four: Invasion force. This phase involves the landing of troops in the target nation and the securing of Soviet power. All remnants of the former regime would be destroyed and replaced with a Federative Central Government apparatus.

Conclusion

With the destruction of the Soviet Union's Main Adversary, a new field of conflict is suspected to be built. Due to heightened tensions between the Khailfah al-Muslimeen, some suspect that the Caliphate will take the place as the Main Aversary. Others suspect that the nation of Roach-Busters will be considered the U.S.S.R.'s new main enemy.
