The Sultanate of the Ayyubids is a large, safe and socially progressive nation, renowned for its burgeoning Poodle population. Its compassionate population, hard-working, intelligent population hold their civil rights very dear. The Sultanate is ruled by His Royal Highness Sultan Salah ad-Din (The Righteousness of the Faith) who has achieved a great reputation as a chivalrous ruler renowned for his leadership and his merciful nature. The Sultanate of the Ayyubids is a strong defender of democratic values, human rights and political freedoms. The Sultanate encourages its citizens to explore their individual spirituality rather than participating in organized religions. The national animal is the poodle.

Government

The Sultanate of the Ayyubids is a parliamentary democracy under a constitutional monarch. The Sultanate is a federal union of 27 Emirates and 1 Kingdom.

HRH Sultan Salah ad-Din is the head of state. He is the sovereign, the highest power.

By popular elections a President of the government is elected. (The government consists of the President, the Vice-president, the Governor-general and the council of ministers.) The Vice-president is appointed by the President. The Governor-general is elected by the General Council of the Union. The members of the GCU are all the governors from all 9 states. After the Governor-general is elected, he becomes a member of that council together with the President and the Vice-president. The President, Vice-president and the Governor-general can only give advice in the GCU, they have not voting rights.

The House of Representatives elects the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is the head of the council of Ministers. All ministers are appointed by the President of the Union. All Ministers must have the confidence of the House of Representatives. The Senate can veto the nomination of a minister, this requires 2/3rd of the senate. The Sultan can also veto the nomination of a minister, he can also dismiss a minister at any time.

The parliament consists of two houses. The Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Senate consists of 48 senators. A fraction leader in the senate is called a senior-senator. The Vice-president is also the President of the Senate. The senators are appointed by the governors of their respective states. The senate can only aprove or reject a law after it has been aproved by the House of Representatives.

The House of Representatives consists of 120 elected members. The President of the House of Representatives is elected by the members of the house.

There is also a Council of State, where former Presidents become members of. The CoS gives advice to all organs of the government, federal or local and to HRH The Sultan of the Ayyubids.

Administrative Regions

The Sultanate is devided into 10 administrative regions, 9 states and one federal district. Each state under a Governor and the federal district under the Governor-general.

  • The Island of Farkow - a small island in the northwest; capital Farkow City.
  • The New Emirates of the Ayyubids - an island state devided into 4 principialities in the northeast; capital Edina.
  • The Eastern Islands - a small group of (3 inhabited and one uninhabited) islands devided into 5 principialities in the southeast; capital Nessa.
  • The Northern Ayyubid Emirates - a large but low populated state in the north devided into 5 principialities; capital North Coast.
  • Porto Mikelangelo - a large and densely populated state in the centralwest devided into 5 principialities; capital Ciudad di Angelo.
  • Western Emirates - the most populates state in the sultanate devided into 4 principialities in the southwest; capital South Beach.
  • Emirates of Trimos - 3 principialities in the centralsouth; capital City of Trimos.
  • Emirates of Saladin - 2 principialities in the centraleast; capital Saladin
  • Kingdom of Alpino - devided into 3 principialities; capital Tomahawk

Each state has a Governor a vice-governor a council of legislators and a small parliament. Each principiality has a Mayor, an Emir (prince) and a Council of District Commissioners.

Judicial Branch

Each state has a supreme court consisting out of 5 judges (3 in Farkow). 4 of the judges are appointed for life by the parliament of the state, these judges are known as councilmen. The Governor appoints one additional judge for a period of 5 years. This judge is known as justitia. The justitias of all 9 states form the Supreme Constitutional Court of the Sultanate of the Ayyibids. The Sultan appoints a Justitia-general for a period of 5 years. The Justitia-general is President of the SCC.

Department of Foreign Affairs
Ambassador to the United Nations
  • The Ayyubid ambassador to the United Nations has voted AGAINST a resolution on the “Right to Learn About Evolution” accepting the IDU UN-delegate’s view on the matter. The ambassador has also accepted the view of the IDU UN-delegate that there is no current need for more equality resolutions.
  • The Ayyubid ambassador to the United Nations has proposed the repeal of resolution #30. The IDU UN-delegate, after the proposal had been filed, sent a telegram to the Sultanate on the matter. The proposal did not receive enough aprovals.
Department of Economical Affairs
  • The Minister of Economical Affairs received a telegram from Yuunli for the Central Bank of the Ayyubids regarding the Fixed Exchange Rates (FER) of the Diamond and the Yuunli Dollar. The Director of the CBA answered that telegram explaining that the FER is an exclusive internal affair of the Sultanate. It has no effect on the Yuunli economy and that the Sultanate does in fact follow the NSEconomy, just not on a daily basis.
Department of Infrastructure
  • The map maker of the IDU, Domnonia has added the Sultanate of the Ayyubids to the |IDU Map, after being requested so by the Minister of Infrastructure.
Department of Information
  • The Minister of Information has received a telegram from Groot Gouda in reply to a telegram sent by the minister in which the minister asked information on UN resolutions and the language in which telegrams could be sent to Groot Gouda.
