Tibetan is the only non-Indo-European language spoken in Mokshatiana, and is spoken heavily in the autonomous Tibetan south. It is the only language to be tied to politics, being the official language of the Tibetan Freedom Party. Tibetan is protected by law in the region, and all children in the autonomous south are given Tibetan immersion classes. It also the official language of Mokshatiani Buddhism.
