Titus Drax rose from the ranks of the army to become the supreme and almost undisputed ruler of the Imperial Autocracy of Hypocria.

Titus signed up with the 9th Infantry Regiment at the age of 18 immediately after serving his one year compulsory military service. His leadership qualities soon became apparent and he advanced quickly to the rank of captain. Six years later Drax, now a major, masterminded the operation that lead to the capture of a notorious dissident leader and earned his promotion to colonel and a position on General Baxter’s staff. The general was clearly impressed with what he saw and soon after placed Titus in charge of a whole brigade.

During the dark days of the Insurrection Brigadier General Drax became a hugely popular figure to a population becoming increasingly angered at how the country was being run. When public pressure finally turned against President Jacobi in a wave of violence the majority of the army sided with the revolutionaries. And it was Drax, at the head of his brigade, who stormed the Republican Palace and forcibly removed Jacobi. From the chaos Titus Drax, helped by a huge wave of public support that washed aside all other candidates, emerged as the new ruler of the nation.

As the economy grow and taxes lowered the people didn’t seem to mind the switch from democratically elected government to a dictatorship. After six years of growth and improvements Titus felt secure enough to abolish the presidency and officially took the title of “Autokrator”. Rumours that he adopted his new title solely to impress the Lord Protectors, Emperors, Chairmen and Life Presidents that made up the Strategic Alliance of Autocratic States will probably always remain unconfirmed.

The Autokrator’s reign came to an abrupt end at the hands of Viannor Starblayde herself after the Starblaydi Inquisition learnt of Titus’ desire to leave the SAAS.
