Toopoxican Organisation

History

The Toopoxican Organisation established in 1014, as the Toopoxican Trading Organisation, when King Gaius XV granted several Dukes permission to solve a Bandit problem by forming a private military, it was amongst the first fully standing militaries in the world to rely not on noble blood and the largest Privately held army remaining as an important trading and military partner for over 600 years.

In the early 11th century the borders of Toopoxia were still suffering from bandits, which disrupted trade to and from European countries whilst also serving a military threat to the furthest east territories, seeking to break this cycle Duke Liennus formed a militia composed of trained soldiers and sent them East to help secure trading routes, although the mission was a failure and led to the execution of Liennus for conspiracy to overthrow the crown it inspired other Northern Dukes to do to something about the Bandit problem.

In the following years many other Dukes sent out expedition armies, despite the threat of execution at the hands of the King, competition between these Dukes became increasingly fierce with protection money being paid to these armies and Dukes seeking to take out other Dukes militaries, in 1014 King Gaius was pressed on the issue or face a potential civil war, he forced the Dukes into forming an alliance of their respective military powers.

The Royal Toopoxican Organisation of Dukes set about securing the trading routes of North, West and Eastern Toopoxia, bringing in Iberian Steel, Slavic Coals and Christian literature, it led to the great rise of trade in Toopoxia once more asserting the importance of the River Volitaia and securing alliances across the globe.

Although securing trade routes was providing a neat income the Organisation seeked more and began to seel its service in warfare aswell, both as a mercinary group and as an early arms dealer, through this the Organisation secured readly avaliable resources such as Cotton and Furs.

In 1043 Duke Riddick secured territories in Indochina, the furthest colony of the Organisation, outposts were also created in India, Persia and the Americas, due to this the Organisation became both the largest Empire in the world, the largest Private company whilst also owning the largest military, the Organisation was almost always in conflict with the King whos own trading ventures seemed to be at a loss.

A treaty signed with Smorrg in 1051 severely hurt the overseas territories and coupled with the shortage of cotton from Indonesia led to the collpase of the eastern Toopoxican Trading areas, the end of the Lexin house also crippled the economy as the nation now stood under a Republic which set about investigating allegations of corruption inside the Trading Organisation, the investigation was simply a rouse and in 1052 the Republic ordered the execution of many of the Duchal houses effectivly ending the power of the Organisation.

Branches

The Toopoxican Organisation has monopolised almost every industry in Toopoxia, due to its unique position in assisting the nation of Toopoxia it has an almost untouchable position, the Toopoxican Organisation has now been considered almost a hub for its many branches, despite this the Organisation still has the largest Arms Manufacturing business in Toopoxia, followed by its branch Solov Arms which produces weaponary for foreign contracts, weapons for the civilian street and handles all foreign deals across the Organisations empire.

Aside from the Militaristic side the Organisation also deals in several civilian projects, the largest project being the Bright Minds educational institutes which serves the entire population who have very little assistence in this area, very far from these projects are the many retail outlets of the Organisation, Alius stores supply 24/7 shopping in a large almost city sized environment, these are major earners in the Organisations financial empire.
