Treaty Text
For the purpose of establishing and maintaining peace between the Royal Dominions of Akaeia, the United Counties of Sicinia Salis, the Armed Republic of Zagorlad, and the Oppressive Dictatorship of Hasilthec, the following articles have been drawn up and presented before each party, in order that stability and prosperity might be brought to all, and peace might once again come among the nations of Namura. It is so willed and vowed, according to the following articles, by the four participant nations.
Article One: The Armed Republic of Zagorlad hereby concludes hostilities against the Oppressive Dictatorship of Hasilthec and the United Counties of Sicinia Salis, and these nations with the Royal Dominions of Akaeia likewise swear to cease hostilities.
Article Two: For the purpose of the prevention of similar occurances in the future, Zagorlad will call together delegates from each portion of the country to meet in Rughold in convention to examine the political system of the nation of Zagorlad and amend it in the presence and in confluence with representatives of Akaeia, Sicinia Salis, Avalya, and Hasilthec, to be approved by general referendum, within a month of the document's completion, and with the convention beginning no later than November 15.
Article Three: The Armed Republic of Zagorlad hereby vows non-aggression towards The Royal Dominions of Akaeia, the Avusic Republic of Avalya, the Confederation of Borrados, the Oppressive Dictatorship of Hasilthec, and the United Counties of Sicinia Salis, lasting for at least 2 years from the ratification of the treaty.
Article Four: To the Royal Dominions of Akaeia the Armed Republic of Zagorlad conceeds territorial control of the Ile d'Aceline and the inhabitants and constructs thereupon, and swears to the removal of all military forces from this land by the end of the month of October.
Article Five: The Armed Republic of Zagorlad agrees to pay a sum of 750,000C to the Federation of Sicinia Salis, and the Royal Dominions of Akaeia agree to pay 250,000C in recognition and gratitude for the assistances of that nation in the War.
Article Six: The Royal Dominions of Akaeia hereby swear a defensive alliance with the Armed Republic of Zagorlad, according to the following terms.
- Akaeia and Zagorlad are to support each other in the event that a third nation declares war on either or both parties. - In the event that Akaeia or Zagorlad attack a third nation, the other nation is NOT obligated to support the attacking state, - In the event that Akaeia or Zagorlad attack a third nation, the alliance does not come into play because the war is offensive and not defensive. - In the event that Akaeia or Zagorlad attack a third nation, and the third nation gets a fourth nation to declare war upon either Zagorlad or Akaeia, the alliance does not come into play because the initial action was offensive and therefore the war is not defensive. - For the purpose of mutual action a military consult will be sent from Akaeia to Zagorlad, and likewise from Zagorlad to Akaeia, chosen according to the laws of the nations, and kept appraised of all information at either's disposal. - Neither nation is bound by this alliance to assist the other in colonial wars. - Neither Akaeia nor Zagorlad are to attack possession of the other, including merchants of the other nation, and colonies, provinces, or persons, nor hold goods, persons, or services from the other, without conclusive proof of wrongdoing, presented before the action, to the government of the other nation. - In one year's time the Zagorlad government and the Akaeian government will send delegates to renegotiate the treaty. - If Zagorlad violates any of the other terms of this treaty then the defensive alliance is immediately rendered null and void.
Article Seven: Zagorlad hereby renounces all intentions regarding westward expansion on the continent of Laatzen, and recognizes the permanency of the borders of Akaeia, Hasilthec, and Sicinia Salis thereupon.
Article Eight: Akaeia hereby recognizes the right of Sicinia Salis to build a cemetary at Beldorford for the fallen, and to erect monuments in honor of them as seen fit on the Ile.
