The Treaty of Poldi'sk

The Treaty of Poldi’sk, signed on Nov. 3, 2005 (Nov. 8, 1605 Novikovian Calendar) marked the formal end to the Azazian-Novikovian War when Marshal Novikovskei Federatsii Boris Stanislav agreed to the Azazian military’s terms of unconditional surrender. It is interesting to note that the Treaty of Poldi’sk was not actually signed or written in Poldi’sk, the capital of Novikov, but rather in the city of Prostéjov where Stanislav’s regional command was located. The treaty was later ratified by Novikovian Prime Minister Milos Borovic and Royal Governor Thomas Cahill on Nov. 14, 2005 (Nov. 19, 1605 NC) in the city of Poldi’sk, giving the document its name. The treaty was finally made official on Nov. 22, 2005 when it traveled to Imperium to be ratified by representatives of the Azazian crown.

The treaty first outlined a general plan for a cease-fire and gradual surrender of Novikovian forces left on the Novikovian mainland, as well as the disarmament of forces still occupying Czechzenia and Sachnyk Island between Nov. 3rd and Nov. 7th. It was later ratified to include the surrender of Novikov’s government and affirm its new status as part of the United Kingdom of Azazia.
