The Treaty of Qualo, signed in Qualo in The Grenevan Territories, was instituted as a result of the Domz War, the bloodiest battle in the history of Jey, as well as lingering anger over the Treaty of Caxilan.

Background

The battle of Le'Plusherre, which saw the death of over 4 million men, sent shockwaves throughout the Empire of Domz. Resulting in the end of the Domz War, Le'Plusherre was seen as a symbol of the failure of unification. Many of the allies of Drew Domz, the emperor, began rethinking their alliegance and eventually turned against the idea of unification. The leaders of the Empire and Ka'il Falshone, the monarch of the Grenevan Territories, met to discuss the surge of the anti-unification movement. Though Domz thoroughly disagreed with the spirit of Qualo, he was outnumbered in votes, and was forced to accept the terms.

Main Points of the Treaty

It is rumored that as a clause of the treaty, the text must remain in secrecy. However, the following points are known to have been made in the treaty.

  • The Empire of Domz shall cease to exist. 64 nations will gain independence from such schism (including the then Republic of Jey).
  • Ka'il Falshone, the aggressor in the Domz War, shall be sentenced to 50 years in prison for war crimes and treason.
  • Drew Domz shall assume portions of power in all 64 nations assembled from the former Empire of Domz.

Effects

A year after the treaty, Domz was granted the title of Emperor in the Allied Empire of Jey (formerly the Republic of Jey). Falshone was released from prison after only 10 years, and eventually led the assassination attempt on Domz. Domz quickly adopted new welfare programs and educational and military reforms in Jey, similar to his work in Krazorn. The success of the Allied Empire of Jey over the other Domzian lands once again appealed to the other lands, which would eventually bring about the reunification of the Domz Empire under the new name of the Allied Empire of Jey.
