Tristan "Angel Fire" Angel is the Prime Minister of Angel Fire, one of the Forgotten Territories. Known for her vicious and regular ability to alienate those that she meets, she leads the most brutal nation of the Forgotten Territories.

History

Childhood

Tristan, the elder sister of Forgottenlord, was born with a last name that's now classified (by Forgottenlord who has done everything in his power to have his family name kept hidden) to parents likewise unknown. Their place of birth, location of schooling, and even nationality or regionality remains unknown. Due to this, little is known of her past. However, it is known that she was talented in many aspects. Like her younger brother, she had a talent for politics - though unlike him, she didn't have a love for it. She was seen as a sweet girl who was always willing to help whomever would ask, friendly and always displayed a kindness that many around her loved. She had two junior high boyfriends and was dating her third when, at the age of 16, her biggest life altering event for her occurred (Forgottenlord was merely 4 at the time).

Kane Angel, a Servant of Fallmak, one of the Great Clans of Nolak, lead an assassination team on some nearby important figure. Little is known about the target - Nolak doesn't keep records and Kane has never indicated, and it is not known who was on the team, what nation the target was for, nor even whether he was an economic, military or political target. All that can be assumed is that he was either a talented fighter or had talented bodyguards for Kane to have been leading an actual team into the area. Some suspect that Forgottenlord knows the target, he just doesn't wish to divulge the information as it would also give a clue to his past. What is known is that Kane became infatuated with Tristan Angel and after completing their mission, his team kidnapped her and brought her with him to his base. Upon arriving, he made her his wife.

Conversion

There are some romances that make women envious - giving them wishes of a romantic guy that comes by and sweeps them off their feet.

Tristan Angel's romance was not one of them.

Women might have been technically equal within the Nolak clans, but an impure woman, as Tristan was, were considered to be below pets. Had Tristan remained impure, tradition would’ve eventually demanded her sacrifice. Kane, however, did not wish to lose Tristan to a sacrifice and so began converting her into a Class 5 Assassin.

The process of creating a Class 5 Assassin is an extremely intricate process. If the individual has too much strength of will, they will often find a way of killing themselves in the process. However, once the first stage has been surpassed, it becomes a mere question of effort.

Tristan was broken. After that, Kane slowly tore apart her belief system. Everything she valued and believed in was removed. However, Kane stopped himself from removing the last part of Tristan: her identity. He kept her past and name in-tact – something that was normally considered problematic and made for unstable Class 5 Assassins. However, Kane wanted an equal for a wife and had decided already that a wife who had no past could never be an equal.

From the near-shell of a person he had in front of him, Kane began creating a wife the Nolak Clans would allow him to keep and one that he could love. He programmed her to love him and be loyal to him. Normally the first thing programmed would be love and loyalty to Nolak and many historians attribute the reversal to be one of the most important reasons why Tristan would later be able to turn on the Nolak Clans and eventually destroy them. He then programmed her with both the beliefs of Nolak and the full text of their religion before adding a few of his own beliefs to the mix. The numerous belief systems are suspected to be responsible for her latter instability.

However, despite the unorthodox creation Kane had made, the Nolak Council approved of her and was even more impressed when she participated in battle. It was enough for Kane to be granted his own Clan.

The Kane Clan

For nearly two decades, the Kane Clan stood as one of the most successful and powerful Clan to have ever existed. Kane and Tristan ruled a very strict group, valuing strategy over brute force but always finding a way to spill enough blood for their bloodthirsty masters. Tristan was particularly efficient in this sense as her instability gave her periods where the only way Kane could control her was to stick her in the middle of the enemy lines and let her period of bloodlust blow itself out.

Despite his best attempts, Kane couldn’t teach Tristan the value of strategy. Part of the problem was her instability but most of it was due to her training. In frustration, Kane gave up and turned, instead, towards finding a new strategist to add to his ranks. It was a young Annon Ronalk that he recruited. Tristan compensated by founding the Night Sisters after she discovered that her friend, Kelsey Thompson, was psychic, which also allowed her to find others who were psychic. The two devised a training policy and many theories on how the Night Sisters could operate. Tristan’s purpose was to eventually create a group capable of matching Class 5’s in ferocity and deadliness, a feat at which she was partially successful. Kelsey, a fan of Kane’s work, believed in the concept of cool logic and reason and as such, training in combat and strategy became the central themes of Night Sisters.

For several years, the Night Sisters grew in number, ability and net knowledge. Nearly a year after they had been formed, the Collective had been discovered and founded - becoming the centerpiece of their entire society. Ranks were set and benchmarks created to attain such ranks. As their society was given greater structure, they moved from being psychic soldiers to nearly invincible battlefield entities. The Kane clan, numbering in the mere hundreds with just under 50 Night Sisters became as dangerous and powerful as any of the 10 Great Nolak Clans who numbered in the hundreds of thousands of members. For many years, the Angel family was amongst the most renowned terrorists in the world, and the Night Sisters as the most feared group alive.

Fall of the Kane Clan

Devin Narek, Leader of the Misnew Clan (one of the Ten Great Nolak Clans), brought an interesting statistic to the Nolak Council. by his estimates, for every Night Sister that was added, each of the Ten Great Nolak Clans would have to add 200 soldiers to their armies to be able to match. If a Night Sister was accompanied by ten soldiers, that stat spiked to a thousand. The Nolak Council was divided on how to treat this news. Some felt it was an indication that the Servants of Nolak would finally be able to overthrow the oppressive powers, others feared what might happen should Kane not be satisfied with the council. Narek was in the latter group and when the Nolak council refused to take immediate action, Narek took matters into his own hands.

Three nights after the meeting had started, Misnew troops attacked the main base of the Kane clan. The idea was not to wipe out the Night Sisters or even kill Kane or Tristan (though the death of either of them or the collapse of the Night Sisters were desirable objectives if they could be achieved). He deployed nearly 500 of his men to strike. Less than twenty survived the fight.

The plan was simple. The 500 were merely bait. They struck at the front door of the base and were able to take out the front guards before the Night Sisters had joined the fray. The major leaders of the Kane clan were ordered to evacuate - the Nights Sisters could sense that their death was not to come if they left the base. However, it left both Kane and Tristan without any connection to the Night Sisters. They had no way to access the collective.

As the battle raged on, the Collective saw the second prong of the attack - a missile strike, powerful enough to destroy the complex. The Night Sisters had to choose between protecting their charges and survival. There was no debate. The Night Sisters willingly stood their ground and gave their masters enough time to flee.

In the chaos and the blaze of the destroyed base, the Angel family became separated. Tristan found herself truly alone. She had fled with no officers, no Night Sisters, and no family. The Kane Clan didn’t have any base nearby and because she had been able to identify the attackers as Servants of Misnew, she knew she could not turn to any nearby Nolak bases. Out of options, she turned to the past she had nearly forgotten. She had watched her brother's progress as he grew from child to politician. She had also seen indication that he had learnt the full details of her fate. Their parents had died many years previous and thus she knew that he was her last hope.

Creation of Angel Fire

Forgottenlord welcomed his sister. His contacts had already told him about the Misnew attack so when she relayed this story to him, he knew she was telling the truth. He had a blood test done to prove their relation for the general public, who had quickly become fearful of the bloodthirsty woman.

It isn't known why, but Forgottenlord moved heaven and Earth to welcome his sister. He created a nation flying under her old nickname for her to shape into her own image. When she showed her disinterest in politics, he dealt with the political haggling for her (following her principles rather than his own, despite the near opposite polarization on many issues) while she continued to pursue a career that he would otherwise have disapproved of.

Angel Fire flourished in prosperity and poverty. From slavery to obscenely rich, her existence brought out the most downtrodden society imaginable, while having an extraordinarily powerful economy and becoming an extremely large military behemoth. It was all that she could have hoped for.

From Assassin to Politician

Tristan's days as an assassin were limited. When a joke was poorly interpreted, she nearly executed President Pat McNeil of Aberdeen. Only a few months later, a Blackrock64 assassin had captured her - and it was out of sheer luck that she was able to return to Angel Fire. Realizing the stress that such mistakes were having on her brother, she retired from that life and took up the place that Forgottenlord had reserved for her.

Forgottenlord chose a method of integrating her into politics rather than tossing her at the helm of Angel Fire. Slowly he gave her more and more control over the nature of the nation. As the population soared past a billion, he gave her full control of the nation with which the possibilities were endless.

During the time, her Night Sisters returned to her side. Feeling that Forgottenlord had given her a debt she would never be able to repay, she gave him her most valued treasure - Forgottenlord became the equal master to her. She wanted him to be the sole master (and she made sure he knew it), but the Night Sisters would not hear their first master speak of such things - feeling they could never betray her.

However, she blind signed any idea he had of how to best restructure them. When Celeste was chosen to lead them, she didn't even think of dissent. Despite her personal beliefs, she agreed to the change in the Night Sisters' priorities - from assassins to body guards.

Yet, for all this, she believed her debt still had not been paid

Eramian Summit

As Forgottenlord continued his quest to continue developing her skills, he approved her right to become a figure in the public eye. Her first prominent role was as a representative in the Eramian Summit peace talks between Bloopa and Coretta. Here, her talents and preferences in battle showed themselves clearly in her arguments. She attacked as swiftly as possible upon any arguments that were made. She found those with weaker courage and immediately shredded what little courage they had, trying as she could to find a solution that would meet her desires. In the end, she got as much as she expected, but little of what she wanted. Her main influence was in ensuring that the demilitarized zone between Coretta and Bloopa remained enforced.

However, the various leaders found themselves with a much different creature to concern themselves about. While Jonathon Noble of Imperfectia (the chair of the summit), who had met her before, was able to handle her, both the Bloopan and Dancing Bananland Prime Ministers found themselves nearly unable to confront her without finding themselves under fire again. A new player of considerable personal strength had emerged on the Aberdeen field.

Her work gave Forgottenlord the belief she was now ready to take the helm. As the Eramian Summit continued, Forgottenlord reorganized his three nations into the Forgotten Territories, making her the Prime Minister and, therefore, Head of Government of Angel Fire.

Dancing Bananland Terrorist Attack

When the Terrorist Attack first broke out, Forgottenlord had already been told that they suspected the culprits were Servants of Kane. Forgottenlord had ordered a news black-out to Tristan, who was still at the Eramian Summit at the time. However, this changed as it became clear that Kane was indeed at the helm of the attack. Knowing he could not hold this information from her forever, he came to the inevitable decision to recall her.

Tristan understood his reasoning, and immediately chose to take out her frustration upon Liz Paul - whom had been hiding information from the Forgotten Council including Kane's base of operations. With her threat against Liz in place, Liz dared not make any attempts to directly confront Kane. That night, Tristan launched with eight Night Sisters to destroy Kane's forces and capture him. Before she departed, she assured her brother that her loyalty was to him and that her days as a Servant of Nolak were over.

She made good on the promise. After obliterating the inner defenses, her forces went into the compound, capturing Kane, killing his entire command staff, and extracting her children. In the process, she shot Annon Ronalk in the eye, though it would later be discovered that his wound wasn’t fatal. Finishing her mission, they prepared to return home.

However, Dancing Bananland was on the move. Wanting revenge for the attacks, they tried to strike at the facility, not realizing that a fellow National Leader was inside the complex. In an attempt to divert them, Tristan ordered the deployment of a firewall. Dancing Bananland, afraid of the Firewall cooking their forces and possibly reigniting, held back from pressing the attack. The Angel family was reunited.

Forgottenlord welcomed Kane and accepted him, despit what he had done to Tristan. However, Celeste McNair would later state:

“He may have forgiven Kane for what happened – or rather, he may have said he does. He’s certainly accepted Kane as a brother-in-law and family. But … in his heart, he misses the sister he once knew, and for that he cannot truly forgive Kane.”

Second Eramian Summit

Tristan hadn’t been the only one recalled from the Eramian Summit. In fact, the Dancing Bananland Prime Minister had been recalled to handle the terrorist attack. However, with the incident over, the summit restarted in an event that was notably shorter.

Towards the Dancing Bananland Prime Minister, she had adapted a level of loathing that had only been matched by her hatred of Narek. It was a hatred for attempting to attack her family. However, she had been given little chance to speak before the Imperfectian representative collapsed due to a poisoning attempt. Eramia, refusing to recognize Political Immunity nor Habeas Corpus arrested all of the delegates and locked them up, fully intending to secure them for a week as it investigated. They had been secured for 5 days before multinational pressure particularly from the Forgotten Territories and Imperfectia pushed Eramia into releasing them.

In her time in incarceration, the Dancing Bananland Prime Minister, TJ Ross and Tristan spoke extensively. As it became clear that Ross had not been aware of Tristan or her family being there, Tristan’s hatred dissolved. When she later found out more about Ross’s history, Tristan began to pity him, a fact that would later have great influence to how she treated Ross – often resulting in actions where she would protect him.

Nikki Ronalk

Nikki Ronalk had been Tristan’s replacement following her disappearance. Annon Ronalk had created her so that the Kane Clan could still have a Class 5 Assassin to work with. However, she was not nearly as successful a creation as Tristan had been, even though her ferocity was enough that she had spent her few years of service with a faster kill rate than Tristan at her peak and rivaled many of the best for the highest number of career kills. In her 9 day, 3-part rampage through Aberdeen (that was spread across 4 weeks), she killed nearly 200 and caused millions of dollars in damage, burning a police station and a restaurant to the ground. Like her predecessor, she had been taught extensively in strategy and had also struggled to control her emotions in favor of using them. In fact, historians would later indicate that it was during her rampage that she had maintained the most control of any operation, despite her mass slaughters and one incident where she mutilated an officer.

Also like Tristan, Ronalk was looking to avenge her husband’s death, unaware that he had survived the raid. She started in Dancing Bananland where the majority of her damage was made but was eventually captured. During the interim, Kirk Bonndar, decided that a weapon waiting to go off like she was would best be served by pointing it in the right direction. His personal campaign to undermine Tristan Angel’s massive military power made him point Ronalk at Angel Fire. When Ronalk was finally launched, she swiftly moved to kill Forgottenlord.

In the battle that ensued, Jonathon Spencer, Prime Minister of Forgottenlands UN and General Field Marshall Brian O’Toole were both slain while Celeste McNair, head of the Night Sisters and Alison Riben, Prime Minister of Forgottenlands were wounded. 5 Night Sisters joined the dead along with a number of unimportant individuals. Looking to end the bloodshed, Tristan challenged her successor to an honor duel.

The two fought for over an hour and after hundreds of blows being exchanged, Tristan finally slew the younger woman, proving her status as one of the greatest Class 5s to have ever been created

Hekloslogravia Coronation Incident

Hekloslogravia had been in the throes of a civil war for years when it declared that its royal government had won and would be having a Coronation. This was aided when Forgottenlord nearly deployed Tristan’s forces to fight the most recent President after he arrested officials from Dancing Bananland and Mittsville, laying regional charges against them. Hekloslogravia’s various officials had often quarreled with Forgottenlord leading to them resigning their Minister status in the region and it is felt by historians that these animosities lead to some of his odder responses – including his declaration of Tristan representing all of Aberdeen in the prosecution of the Hekloslogravian President. When the President was killed, he abandoned those plans. For the Coronation, he again deployed Tristan and it is rumored that his standing order to her was “get drunk and have fun in your own special way”. Some historians suspect that he had the full intention of disrupting the ceremony.

Tristan, Kane, their three children and the Night Sister Jane Allen were the full representation of the Forgotten Territories. They met up with TJ Ross of Dancing Bananland. However, before they could get very far, the Coronation was attacked by rebel forces and the civil war had broken out again. However, the more concerning thing for the Angels was that they quickly realized that Nolak forces were a part of the rebellion. Jane quickly became separated with them though she found herself in the company of TJ Ross – though the two quickly became separated and the latter captured.

During the following battle, The Angel Slaughter, the Angels along with Dancing Bananland operative Funky G and Jane Allen fought hundreds of Hekloslogravian soldiers and two tanks. After killing many but not receiving any injuries, they eventually took up position in a nearby restaurant. The Dancing Bananland operative and Jane went off to rescue Ross while the Angels held the fort.

That evening, the Angels caught up with Jane who was in the middle of a Nolak base. There, Tristan ran across Annon Ronalk, a man she long believed to be dead. She defeated him in combat and pinned him against the wall from where he was able to spring a trap on them.

Kane eventually slew Ronalk in an honor battle as Tristan fought numerous soldiers. They escorted TJ Ross home having achieved a legendary feat.

Due to his attempts to keep Ross in the custody of Nolak forces, Banndar (whom Tristan tried to have arrested) was assassinated by one of his own supporters. With her greatest enemies within the region all dead, Tristan focused upon her last and perhaps greatest foe.

Angel of Light

The details of how Tristan Angel arranged for this operation to unfold are unknown. Her ability to plan and execute this operation is seen as the highlight of her career by many historians, despite its political ramifications.

Nearly a year had passed since her entrance into the political realm of Aberdeen when the civil war of Metis Liberation Front occurred. The Forgotten Territories had generally kept itself out of most of these affairs since Nikki Ronalk’s raid and so it was generally ignored. However, when word reached Kane that nuclear bombs were being armed by the Metis Liberation Front government, Forgottenlord approved the immediate use of all available firepower to handle the weapons and end their threat. Nuclear warheads had been outlawed in Aberdeen for most of its existence so to see a member nation not only possess them but show inclinations of using them, Forgottenlord felt compelled to act.

Before his forces could get very far, an order went out to launch the weapons. Three nukes rocketed to the sky as multiple nations battled in the compound below. While Angel Fire forces were able to take out one while Sayt took out a second, the third was headed straight for Forgotten City where Tristan and her brother were both located at the time. It was due to an induced malfunction by Dancing Bananland officials that the nuke was deactivated and landed as a dud in the city, destroying several apartment complexes and killing thousands.

Tristan saw a golden opportunity. Drawing on her knowledge of the Nolak religion, she recalled the Angel of Light prophesy which indicated the death of the Nolak Clans. While the terms of the destruction were ambiguous, she associated the light unleashed from a nuclear bomb to be the light associated with her name.

The cost, however, would be high. Forgottenlord had set the tone of how the region would treat nuclear armaments with the incident. Despite his plans to retire from his position of Prime Minister, her ally in Dancing Bananland would likely take a similar hard line approach as Forgottenlord - as would have the Imperfectian and Mittsvillian representatives. If she could turn to anyone for support, it would’ve been the Hekloslogravian candidate, but the history between them and her brother made it a long shot alliance at best.

So she took her operations underground. Using Jane Allen, the only Night Sister who still held her above Forgottenlord in terms of authority, to extract the uranium core, Tristan diverted a number of resources to the project while Forgottenlord watched the squabbles of his potential successors. She planned the delivery unit under the disguise of her long-running space project. Later, she permitted Liz Paul, the Zerg Queen, to know of the plan and to arrange an alternative exit strategy for her and (if he consented) Forgottenlord. Finally, she needed her husband, for he alone knew the location of the Nolak Council.

With all the pieces in place, she prepared her attack. However, 4 months of planning and secrecy took their toll on her, aided by the guilt of knowing that her debt to him still had not been paid while she was committing an act for which he may never be able to forgive her, she admitted her plan to him on the eve of the attack.

Forgottenlord chose not to abort the attack and allowed it to proceed. Some wonder if she may have actually convinced him in the necessity of the attack, but whatever the case, he willingly allowed it to proceed. The Angel of Light prophecy was met and with it came the destruction of the Nolak clans.

She was part of the team that left the planet.

Persona and Character

Tristan is bloodthirsty and deadly. She brings both intelligence and hostility to any meeting she attends. That said, this is not to suggest she is inflexible or incapable of other tactics, just that they are her preferred tactic. If she can spot it, all weaknesses are exploited as quickly as possible. She is quick to take offense and quick to anger. Caution must especially be taken in reference to her military nature - she does not enjoy being associated with an organized military and does not feel that her time in Nolak constitues the equivelent of military command. To suggest such a connection is seen as the equivelent of insulting her family - perhaps worse.

It should be noted that she uses her actions and appearance to help bring more force to her work. Sometimes they are extraordinarily subtle, but other times they are will change the mood of the room or show her intention. Often her choice of clothing and, even more so, her choice of hair style will lead to key indicators of what tactics she'll prefer for that meeting. If she knows the people there, she may disguise her hair into one form when entering and then release it to take another so as to indicate either a switching or hiding of tactics. She doesn't concern herself with the fact people can read her, for blunt force and direct assaults she feels are the easiest way to address any matter. She can and, occasionally, does employ other tactics, but this is where her preference lies.

In combat, she can defeat any Night Sister with the possible exception of Celeste McNair - even if her style is not as slick as their own. However, it is here where her brutality is the most refined - and her lust for blood has been known to take a literal meaning in the height of a battle. It is unknown why, but some speculate whether she becomes unstable in the midst of battles.

In her two years working for Forgottenlord, many have noted a distinct change in how she handles herself, in particular after she was reunited with Kane. Many suspect she may have been healed by the presence of the two she was closest to. By the time of their departure, she was considered to have been as stable as any other member of the force.

Appearance

Tristan never intentionally cuts her hair above her shoulders. Normally, it is waist length and thick. She does a variety of things with it from leaving it hanging and gelling the tips such that it becomes an effective whip to wrapping it into a bun, held together by two daggers. Various other forms come about depending on her intentions, goals and wishes.

Her eyes are a dead brown. The right eye had sat only half an inch above a short, wide gash. Her right ear lobe is missing, her left ear lobe sports a sword earing that sometimes holds blood on its tip, a present from its most recent victim (she rarely removes evidence of her victims within a 24 hours of them being her victims). Slightly back of where the sword dangles is the upper limit of another scar - this one starting at the base of her lobe, going across the bottom of her chin and down the right side of her neck, down and right her chest and stops just below the armpit - continuing for a short ways across her arm. The lower portion of this scar is normally hidden from view by her uniform.

Her uniform is the only thing she has worn in public during the latter years of her work with her husband and is normally what she wears in public since her retirement from being an assassin. It was the first piece of clothing her husband had given her, and she made it the standard for the Angel Fire military. It's ripped and shares many of her scars. Two slashes go horizontally across the middle of her back, the right sleeve's front side had a slice right across it that went vertically half a foot. The rest are much more minor. Very occasionally, she will wear something more formal, seductive or a combination of both - if they suit her purpose

Important Relationships

Celeste McNair

Celeste is, to some degree, scared about Tristan. While the Night Sister collective continues to see Tristan as one of their masters, Celeste could probably never hold any true loyalty to Tristan. She, more than any Night Sister, feels the emotions that flow through Tristan's mind and can often be overwhelmed by the anger and rage that lies there - especially when Tristan is in the midst of combat and her bloodlust is at the peak. This also brings with it the advantage of Celeste being the only person that can actually understand the complex psyche of the leader - something that even baffles her brother at times.

Tristan has great respect for Celeste and tries to never cross her. However, she is concerned about Celeste's rather distant attitude towards her. This becomes even more important when she realized the feelings Celeste and Forgottenlord shared for one another. She eventually pushed Celeste into beginning a relationship with Forgottenlord during the Angel of Light campaign.

Forgottenlord

Tristan holds loyalty only to Forgottenlord. While she disagrees with (and often feels limited by) his beliefs, she tries to follow them - especially at the Foreign affairs level. Between the fact that they're siblings and the fact that he harbored her while the International community still deemed her as a terrorist has made her forever indebted to him. Upon creating the Armed Republic of Angel Fire, she pledged her loyalty and promised never to return to Nolak. Despite her nearly opposite belief system, Forgottenlord sees her as an important advisor on the International stage.

Jane Allen

Just as Tristan holds loyalty to her brother, Jane Allen holds an undivided loyalty to Tristan. This often creates conflict between Allen and Celeste. Jane sees even the thought of not putting Tristan before Forgottenlord as being the ultimate crime one can commit within the Collective. She wonders whether Forgottenlord is a fraud master - given the right because Tristan was afraid of him - and sees Tristan as her one true master (and by extension, the Collective’s).

Tristan recognized this loyalty and chose to keep Jane close to her. This may have been a precautionary step towards a possible betrayal from Celeste as, while Celeste could single handedly defeat both Tristan and Jane simultaneously, she would be less inclined to attack or order the death of one of her own.

Kane Angel

Like all Class 5s, Tristan is attached to her husband by a near-unbreakable bond. This bond is strengthened both by Kane's treatment of her - as an equal, rather than a slave (as most Class 5 assassins are) - and the fact that he had, unorthodoxly, programmed her to be loyal to him before her loyalty to Nolak. He was the only person that has ever truly made her feel like a human being during her time as a Servant of Nolak, a fact that later grant Forgottenlord a similar amoung of loyalty. As such, she has fought viciously for his protection and continues to fight for it, despite the fact that several governments, including Dancing Bananland have historically wanted to charge him with crimes related to his terrorist activities. Forgottenlord also assists in protecting his brother-in-law.

In return, Kane has become an advisor for Tristan and her trusted voice when she isn't able to attend various meetings. Eventually, he took up a post as Deputy Director of Angel Fire Intelligence.

Liz Paul

More than once, Liz and Tristan have quarreled. Liz finds Tristan to be too brutal in nature and her true loyalty is to Forgottenlord. She serves Tristan only because Forgottenlord wanted her in the Angel Fire military. Tristan and Liz try to create a cautious peace between them, but more often than would be liked by their President, the peace breaks down into various death threats. With Liz's implants, she is slightly better suited to a fight between the two women, but it is often stated that if the two ever actually had a fight, it would likely be an even match with Tristan’s training and experience giving her extensive advantages.

The closest the two women did fight came about because Liz went hunting for Kane Angel. When Tristan discovered this, she used the Night Sisters to subdue Liz and gave the woman a death threat. Liz tried to resign after this incident but Forgottenlord convinced her to stay.

Favorite Toys

Blood Pen

A rather grotesque writing instrument. Tristan was given a similar pen during her time with Nolak – a weapon to assert one’s presence at any meeting Nolak held (often, more weapons meant more respect). Because of the wide variety of tactics she enjoyed employing at those meetings involving her pen, she felt a desire to have it replaced when she took an actual administrative position within Angel Fire. Hence, the Blood Pen was created.

The Blood Pen can and has killed people. It holds 4 6-inch blades that extend 4 inches beyond the retracted tip – all kept sharp enough to cut skin with minimal effort. When the tip is extended, it is sharp enough to pierce skin – and is designed to not just pierce but is able to extend the hole to the point the sides blades on the side begin cutting. It writes with a, suitably, blood-red ink and has been known to make many diplomats shiver when first confronted with the device.

Death Blade

A 3-foot long sword with a mild bottom curve. It was forged during the peak of the Kane clan and granted to her as a gift from her husband, Kane Angel. Many were slain by its blade, but she found that it still did not compare with Bloodlust, her knife.

The handle was designed to look like a mouth trying to bite the holder, with the actual handle being shaped to look like a forked tongue. To continue the look, the sheath is made to look like the body and tail of a snake.

Bloodlust

A 6-inch double-sided knife. Class 5 Assassins are handed knives of this design upon becoming a full Class 5. It is seen as a certification of one’s status as a Class 5 and the blades are renowned amongst the nations that have had to deal with them. It is considered a holy weapon and it is said that Nolak’s hand guides the blades into their opponents. Tristan generally prefers Bloodlust as her primary weapon.

The blade is balanced on both planes so that it is practical to throw (though rarely are they thrown). The handle is simple while the back of the handle has wings to simplify drawing it.
