Tynelia (TYN) continues its recent enterance onto the international stage continues as it prepares for its first ever Olympic appearance during the winter games. Previous sporting history includes a regional semi-final appearance during the 27th Baptism of Fire soccer tournament and the hopes of a world cup 27 entry.

While Tynelia is mostly a flat land, making it a poor choice for events like skiing, ski jumping, bobsledding and the like there is a great deal of interest in the ice sports. Curling is Tynelia's most popular winter sport followed by speed skating, figure skating, the biathalon and cross country skiing. Ice hockey is growing in popularity as well but as of this time the Tynelian sporting commision felt that the hockey leagues are not up to international play standards.

Tynelia hopes to make a respectable showing against the much larger nations of the world and possibly win a medal of some sort though most agree that just the Olympic experience itself will be worth the trip.
