The Federation of Ubundi, or Ubundi, is a small, but intelligent country located in the West Pacific. Ubundi was founded on January 31, 2007.

History

Ubundi was first settled in during the 8th century by settlers from all over the Pacific. The seperate ethnic groups each founded various settlements, the largest of which is now the capital, Ubundiville.

Paleontologists have discovered many incredible creatures and plants in Ubundi that totally revolutionized the field. The most notable of the discoveries is when Dr. Mwai Mugi (unrelated to Zende Mugi) found a fossil of a tropical plant at the base of Mount Gichinga. Mugi and his team estimated it was from roughly 880 million years and fit to an environment the opposite of Ubundi's climate.

Government

The government of Ubundi is split into three seperate branches: the Legislative, Judical, and Executive.

Geography

Ubundi is know for its "barren, inhospitable landscape."

The tallest area is the peak of Mount Gichinga, which towers over the surronding area with its formidable height of 14,900 feet (4,500 meters) above sea level. The river Zaida runs through the full width of Ubundi. Zaida's banks are home to many cities and villages that use its many resources. The western-most territory of Kipanga is where the most fertile land is found, so therefore is also where the most agriculture produce takes place.

Environment

Ubundi's environment is home to many exotic and incredible creatures and plants. Ubundi is famous for the Ubundian elephant which is adopted to the climate and roams all throughout the country. They are the largest of the elephants. Ubundi is also famous for the Msitu Aushi (meaning long lasting forest), the largest forest in Ubundi that is home to a large array of wildlife and plants. It is located in the Aiyetoro territory.

Economy

One of Ubundi's longtime goals is to improve the economy. The Ubundi Stock Exchange (USE) has seen tremendous growth since its founding. The economy is listed as "strong." Playing sports is very popular in Ubundi. The most popular of sports being tennis, football, and rugby.

The most popular music genres (according to radio ranks) in Ubundi are pop and jazz. The band Jazzy famously began their African tour of their album City Tunes in Ubundiville. Ubundi is world-renowed for its native music.

Ubundian film is shown all around the world. Ubundi's famous artsy films have won many awards and have been shown thousands of times.

Ubundi will host the 2007 Worldwide Film Festival.

Ubundi's military is technologically-advanced and currently includes the Ubundi Army, Navy, Air Force, and Intelligence Agency.

There are currently 300,000 troops active and 95,416 in reserve.

Army

The Ubundian Army has 91,500 active field personnel. It is led by General of the Army Kiongozi Chisulo.

Navy

The Ubundian Navy has 45,750 active field personnel. It is led by Admiral Mwai Muroki.

Air Force

The Ubundian Air Force has 45,750 active field personnel. It is led by Marshal Murtada Fahim.

Intelligence Agency

Ubundi's Itelligence Agency (UIA) handles national and foriegn intelligence. It is based in Ikela.
