Before french rule Uiri din't have currency per se, it had a bartering syustem. But items weren't compared to one another all the items were compared in the same unit, Arets. This system worked until the French took over Uiri and imposed french francs.

After the revolution of 1804, the Uir language had corrupted the word Aret into Arjet. This was the name of the new currency. dnominations were as follows:

1 mila 10 mila 50 mila 100 mila 250 mila 1 Arjet

All were nickel coins with small gold or silver content. The obverse always had a picture of the Hero of the revolution, Hud Fori, and on the reverse respectively:

1 mila, the fruit of the national tree 10 milla, the national flower 50 mila, the national tree 100 mila, the coat of arms 250 mila, the elephant tuna 1 Arjet, the flag

Then the english took over and imposed their currency. After the Riopo-Anglo war, Uiri was liberated once more and returned to Arjets. The denominations have changed over time but the current collection of coins is:

1 mila 10 mila 50 mila 100 mila 250 mila 1 Arjet 2 Arjets

Each contains the face of Hud Fori on one side and a different symbol on the other. Here are they:

1 mila, the fruit of the national tree 10 mila, the national tree 50 mila, the national flower 100 mila, a baseball diamond 250 mila, the coat of arms 1 Arjet, the elephant tuna 2 Arjets, the kangaroo

Bills come in denominations of:

5 Arjets 10 Arjets 20 Arjets 50 Arjets 100 Arjets

The 5 Arjets and 10 Arjets bills contain the first Prime Minister and President respectively. The 20 Arjets bill contains the first man to hold both Prime Minister and President, at the same time. the 50 Arjet bill has the first woman to hold the position of President. the 100 Arjets bill has Edward Forgul; current Prime Minister and President.

On the other side, the 5 Arjet bill has some kids playing Soccer, or Football as it's called in Uiri. The 10 Arjet bill has two formula 1 cars racing. The 20 Arjet bill has a picture depicting the constitution although it's too far away to read it. The 50 Arjets bill has a picture of the parliament buildings with the flag waving out front. The 100 Arjet bill depicts an artist's rendition of what happened in the parliament building during the 1804 revolution. There's a reason the 100 Arjets bills are scarce.
