The United Nations region is one of the oldest regions in the world. While it does not contain many nations, it has been a home to many and a place of notoriety for a long time.

History

The United Nations region was founded close to the beginning of the world. The region slowly lost nations, as well as popularity, until it ceased to exist. The Distant Shadow of Juskalherria recreated the region in early 2005. While Juskalherria has not remained very active, he has kept note of all the United Nations region's affairs.

Delegate History

The Allied Empire of Jey (30 August 2005 - 10 September 2006)

Jey reigned as delegate for over a full year, well longer than any other delegate has ever reigned in the region. Little is known about the United Nations region before his time, but Jey quickly grew to have the unwavering support of the entire region. His activity within the UN helped garner support throughout the region and won him many battles with other delegates. Jey managed to pass 7 resolutions in his year and 10 days in office, founded the Regional Senate of the United Nations, founded the region's free trade association, and contributed in many other international initiatives. Jey also began the Jevian Recruitment Project, in which he employed many strategies in order to get many nations to join the region--he eventually found over 20 nations to remain in the region as regulars. He was well known for making speeches to the region, exemplified with his most famous: One Year Anniversary. On September 10th 2006, Jey, to the surprise of many, lost the delegate status of the region to Addrianna, causing an outrage amongst the regional members. Many considered leaving the region at the time.

The Empire of Addrianna (10 September 2006 - 11 September 2006)

The reign of the Empire of Addrianna, also known as The Addrianna Rebellion, lasted for a single day, which was dominated by lengthy disputes between the loyal allies of Jey and his regional works and Addrianna, who supported a change within the region. Many members of the region were dismayed that Jey's streak of 375 consecutive days as delegate had been broken, especially by a player so new to the region. Addrianna asserted his abilities to control the region and bring about change, but he began to lose support of the region.

The Allied Empire of Jey (12 September 2006 - Present)

On the night of September 11th, with help from regional members and extraregional influence, Jey's endorsement numbers soared and he was announced delegate the following morning once again. Jey has since extended his resolution count, and the region has stabalized politically. On 12 September 2007, Jey celebrated his second One Year Anniversary. Shortly thereafter, Jey surpassed his previous longevity record of 375 consecutive days.

UN Involvement

Three members of the region have gotten proposals to quorum, and 2 have passed resolutions: Jey (11 proposals to quorum, 10 passed), Dankism (one proposal to quorum, passed), and Larry is still God (one proposal to quorum, failed).
