United People's Alliance

The United People's Alliance is one of the few major political parties in the Revolutionary Republic of Wazistan and is currently the Official Opposition in both Houses of Parliament.

The Party was formed in late 2004, when the Socialist Party and Communist Party merged for the next Parliamentary Elections to try and win a majority against the Ruling Islamic Liberal Party. As of May 5th, the UPA was able to increase it number of seats in both Houses in the last election, but was unable to ousted Prime Minister Allawi and the Government.

The current leader of the UPA is Kahdi Yarwar, who also is the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament.

Governing Body

The Governing Body of the UPA is the Executive Committee, which compose of 50 members. The Committee provides national leadership and is responsibile for promoting the Party's platform and developing the Party's policies. The Committee also coordinating fundraising and aides party candidates in elections.

The Executive Committee is also composed of 5 Subcommittees which are responsibile for different areas such as legislative elecions.

The current Chairman is Anwar Wabti.
