University of Civic Duty

The University of Civic Duty is a public university in Tarana. Founded on 8 April 1601 by order of High Queen Corrina, it is one of the oldest institution of higher learning in the Resurgent Dream.

The institution was named for its original purpose, to provide for the moral and ethical instruction of young nobles. To this day, the university remains well known for its strong tradition of public service, although the nature of the school has changed to reflect more modern values and to serve the needs of modern university students.

The university has always consisted of multiple colleges. Originally, women could only attend Reece College, which remains a women's college to this day. However, in the last hundred years, all of the other colleges except for Caddogan College have become coeducational.

The University of Civic Duty has the largest university library in the Resurgent Dream and the largest financial endowment of any academic institution in the nation, standing at S26.18 billion.
