Ur-Quan

The Ur-Quan are one of the elder races in the galaxy. Historically belligerent and the unquestioned masters of the Ur-Quan Hiearchy, their goal was galactic domination. However a protracted war with the interdimensional race known as the Antarans, neccessitated co-operation with other species. Over the millenia the Ur-Quan have became increasingly tolerant of other life forms, and even friendly toward others.

The Ur-Quan currently inhabit the priamry planet of the Arcturus system, while also maintaining a colony base on the first planet of the Sslaa system, which they have renamed Kzer-Za after an ancient Ur-Quan hero.

In battle, the Ur-Quan use massive and frighteningly powerful ships known as Dreadnaughts, or less often as Planetary Siege Units (PSUs). Their primary weapons are high-powered plasma cannons, and they also launch waves of small, red fighters. These fighters are armed with missile and beam weaponry and in swarms can easily tear through larger ships, however high attrition rates are common even on succesful deployments.
