Urceopolis is the new capitol of Urcea, after the Tzar-Burning of the old capitol, New London.

Origins

Settlement

After John Urce and his people settled New London in the Urcean plains, everybody was happy. But this did not last long. Only a generation after John Urce, Michael Urce, his grandson, settled another city, which he named after his grandfather.

Urceo-London War roots

The Urceopolians were tired of being governed by the people in New London, because conditions in New London were perfect compared to Urceopolis. They made rulings that made life harder for Urceopolians but were easier for New Londinians. Urceopolians were given hope when one of the cousins of the direct descendant of John Urce had claimed that land his and used the Urceopolian region to suceed. The citizens took up arms under the flag of the Independant Confederacy of Urceopolis to fight aganist the Republic of Urcea.

The Urceo-London Civil War And Aftermath

Urcean Republican soldiers were professional soldiers, well, atleast compared to the Confederates. The Urceans broke the lines easily and surrounded Urceopolis. They fought for Urceopolis desperately, but the Urcean Republicans captured the city and ended the war.

Three years later, Urcean Republican Army soldiers still patrolled the city. The citizens tried to attack them, but were swiftly gunned down by the federal troops.

This event caused an uproar in the senate, which Urceopolian senators threatened to suceed. The other senators decided that this wouldn't happen, so what they did was they abandoned the Constitution of the two United Cities, and said they would draft a new constitution. The first article stated that "Sucession or Threatening to Suceed is completely unlawful and can be punishable by inturnment or death." After they finished and published the Constitution of the Urcean Republic, they arrested the Urceopolian senators.

Role in Forming Modern Urcea

Modern Urceopolis was formed after a young General of the Republic, Julius Nero, took control of the city. He installed a military dominance over it, and installed order as well. The Urecopolians admired him, and decided to support him. Nero, however, was of the New Londonian bureaucracy. But nobody cared, and this was Nero's support group. He launched his coup that turned the Republic to the Holy Roman Empire, with him as the Emperor.
