Nerea (Greek: Νερευς IPA: [neˈria]), officially the Nerean Community, is a country whose main territory lies on Limanos (from Greek λιμάνι, limani; harbour), a small island off the coast of Greece. Nerea's population is primarily Nerean, an offshoot of the Greeks.
As an effectively nomadic (see thalassocracy) society, the Nereans have various ports and harbours which they prefer to stop at, each claimed by various nations; the Nereans are treated as visitors in such places, although they have become a tourist attraction in some cities.
Despite their far-flung population, the Nereans maintain strong cultural ties with Greece by means of their claimed island, whose sovereignty is recognised by the United Nations.
