The definition of DOS...

In response to a couple of questions on Gruenberg's talk page, I will answer, because I can and I saw them. DOS means "delete on sight"; it's a status you get when you've completely worn out your welcome on NationStates; any nation you have will be deleted, etc. If you want to sign your name easily on a talk page, simply type four tildes (~~~~) and it will automatically print it. If you want, you can go to Special:Preferences and change the way it looks. Thanks! → Ceo \ squawk 16:19, 29 December 2005 (GMT)

Coloured signatures...

I apologise for the delay. I thought your comment was something else... blind as a bat, apparently. Anyway, to get coloured signatures, go to your preferences (link at the top right). It should, by default, go to the User data panel. It's the first link on the left and if it's selected, there will be a box around it. Then, go to the right where it says "nickname", and use

(the text you want, including wiki syntax, which in this case is your username, so you'll want [[User:Constantina|Constantina]]|[[User_talk:Constantina|talk]] or something like that).

Then click the checkbox "Raw signatures, without auto link", so your signature doesn't duplicate by accident. And test it out in the sandbox so that you can fine-tune it before you get one you like.

If you need any more help, please don't hesitate to leave another comment! Thanks for asking. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 00:06, 28 January 2006 (GMT)

Belated thank you re: Denkmark

I only recently stumbled onto the month-old Major/Minor currencies controversy. Thanks for your kind words there.

Re: PBC

Sure thing, I'll add it on the Wiki article now. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 05:56, 14 August 2006 (GMT)

Re: Username change

Sysops can't change your username, unfortunately. You can redirect your old user page to a new one, but you'd have to write your new one into your signature manually. What you can do is re-register with a new name, or contact Goober, who's the only person who can change your user name. Aridd 17:51, 30 October 2007 (GMT)

What you can do is re-register with a new name was the advice I followed which is where I am today.
