I have some concerns about your claiming of TLDs and other codes using your puppets. I see another one has been registered. Whilst it's not my place to contest the legitimacy of individual claims, I do feel it might be courteous to other NSers to limit yourself to only one or two. After all, TLDs and such like are not even major staples of RP. I appreciate 263 (is that how many combos there are? My maths sucks) is a lot...but some of these would be pretty unusable or undesirable. Maybe you could voluntarily limit yourself?

As per Gruen's suggestion, I've archived everything dating back earlier than June 2006. Archives can be consulted here (2005) and here (2006). Aridd 22:49, 4 September 2006 (GMT)

:So far fairly few nations have registered TLDs, and there hasn't been any conflict - except from Swilatia claiming three TLDs for a single nation, one of which I had already claimed. I have no intention to keep on adding puppets, don't worry. Nor do I claim several TLDs per nation; Swilatia isn't the only one to have done that. Regarding the UN, I'm still thinking about it. Oh, and my maths is no good either. ;) Still, claiming five TLDs out of a total of 17,576 (or, more accurately, 18,252 if you count two-letter TLDs in addition) still leaves a lot open for everyone else (18,247 to be precise, if your math and mine are both correct). I've noticed that you've been saving the same page many times, trying to figure out how a piece of code works. Please make use of the "Show preview" button, found next to the "Save page" button at the bottom of the page. Each time a page is saved, a copy of the current revision is saved. This is an important feature of NSwiki, as it helps us prevent vandalism, but is also uses up server space. This adds up quickly when the page is saved many times. Using "Show preview" allows you to check all changes, to make sure you haven't made any mistakes in the code, without unnecessarily saving. So if you're trying to perform a complicated bit of code, please click the "show preview" button before saving the page. Thanks for using NSwiki responsibly. :I always do. I'm very careful to use the Preview function, even when I'm fairly sure what the result is going to be. I'm assuming you're refering to something earlier today when I saved the same page three times. That was because the NSwiki crashed on me the first two times, and I simply refreshed without thinking, instead of checking to see whether it had been saved. But I always use Preview before every single change I make. - Aridd, 23:34, 11 December 2005 (GMT)

::Really. Well, ok. It looks like you've been saving five or six edits in quick succession quite a lot. If not, I'm sorry. Nonetheless, a little reminder never hurt anyone. Ah, that. Right, I see what you mean. That's not code-checking; I did use Preview before each of those saves. I just happened to edit it section by section rather than all in one go. Perhaps not very smart of me; I'll see if I can do one big edit rather than several small ones in future, if that's what the problem is? Aridd, 00:05, 12 December 2005 (GMT)

:If possible, yes. Obviously, it's not a 'rule': it's simply a consideration for Goober's server, which, as noted, is looking a little peaky at the minute in any case. Thank you. Please explain your addition of a POV tag to Omigodtheykilledkenny's Wiki article on that article's talk page. <font color="green">Gruen</font><font color="red">2alk</font> 23:51, 20 February 2006 (GMT)

This part: "has strived to repeal several of the most intrusive, destructive and useless resolutions, most notably the Protection of Dolphins Act." Unless I'm very much mistaken, that's exactly what the POV check is for. That sentence is the author's POV, which, from what I understand, is something of a no-no. I'll go and say so on the talk page. - Aridd

I made this on a whim, and thought that given you're fairly active with regard to both sports, and the general 'list' pages, you might be able to help stimulate others to contribute to it. :Good idea. I'll mention it in the World Cup discussion thread in the forum. Nations that play rugby, hockey and other sports also go there, so hopefully that'll help it spread. I can also mention it in the Olympic thread. Aridd 15:11, 31 May 2006 (GMT)

Revision as of 18:49, 4 September 2006

As per Gruen's suggestion, I've archived everything dating back earlier than June 2006. Archives can be consulted here (2005) and here (2006). Aridd 22:49, 4 September 2006 (GMT)

Re-writing Antarcticad

Hi, I've done a major re-rite of the Antarcticad article. I'd appreciate it if you had a look at it to confirm if anythng else should be done. Thanks. Willd 14:47, 11 June 2006 (GMT)

Comrade Martin

It seems pretty clean now. Why do you still insist its unclean? Change it yourself if you see something clearly wrong.

Regarding the Nation v. Character ordeal, it was moved to Characters, but it deals with the involvement of a character representable only through the nation. The character us an extension of the nation, and thus in order to discuss the character the nation must also be discussed. Besides, its just the one info box.

response to cbbc thing.

Just cause the burgers have mea in them does not mean they slaughter their meat. it was clearly stated in the official thread that the CBVBC bys its meat fro other companies. --swilatia 16:23, 6 July 2006 (GMT)

Nomination for sysop

You have been nominated for sysop. Please indicate whether you accept the nomination on the Admin page. Also feel free to make any general comments and respond to questions - although please refrain from voting for yourself. Good luck! ~Gruen2alk 21:55, 4 September 2006 (GMT) (Also, I suggest you archive some of your talk page - it's getting quite long.)
