Re: Sysophood

Thanks. Is there any reason why I shouldn't go delete some of the speedy delete candidates that meet criteria? → Ceo \ squawk 01:20, 8 January 2006 (GMT)

OK, I've done a few that met criteria. Now I have a question: the pages that I deleted still show up in Category:Candidates for speedy deletion, and on other categories they belonged to. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Thanks. → Ceo \ squawk 02:30, 8 January 2006 (GMT)

I did not mean those as notes to the user or users responsible originally for the page so much as to anyone that is watching, making use of, or maintaining the page. Couple that with too little sleep, and that seemed the best place to stick such things.

As for the legnth issue, do you have any suggestions on what can/should be cut?

Thanks,

Reduced legnth

Down 5kb. I'm running out of things to trim; would definitely apreciate any suggestions as to what portions are extraneous or overly long.

Question on Deletion Policy

On the rule about "pages may be speedily deleted if there is only one author who requested it, provided a short period of time has passed", do IP authors count and what's a good limit for the time passed? Thanks. → Ceo \ squawk 14:31, 12 January 2006 (GMT)

Protection of Main Page:about

I have protected Main Page:about in light of three recent vandalisms and no previous content, and am about to list it on NSwiki:Protected pages. If I shouldn't have done this, please let me know. Thanks. → Ceo \ squawk 01:39, 19 January 2006 (GMT)

I like how tricky they're getting with their linkspams. That's a non-conventional page name, so it's certainly intriguing. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 22:33, 20 January 2006 (GMT)

how do I remove my "Talk" pages?

I have, after long and wearisome problems, finally (A) gotten my pages blanked and (B) waited out the 30 days Pacitalia insisted on. (see last paragraph of http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/User_talk:Ruventsoria)

I now would like the "talk" pages (such as http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Talk:Titles_in_Ruventsoria, http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Talk:Alumba_Serengi, etc) to be removed. What is the correct way to go about requesting this?

Considering the headaches Paci put me through, reversing what you said was the right method, refusing to explain the right method, refusing to tell me where I could find the info for myself, and then blaming *ME* for "not following procedures," I thought I'd ask someone (who has proven helpful before) exactly how to go about getting the "talk" pages removed. I hope you can help me with this, even if you're so busy you can only point me to where the info can be found.

Thank you! Ruventsoria 20:46, 20 January 2006 (GMT)

Sorry to intrude, Gruen, but I shouldn't have to defend myself - he did not follow procedures and he knows it. I remember quite clearly he blanked his pages instead of putting them up for deletion/speedy, like is procedure. Let's not lay blame where it isn't due. If you follow procedures, things go smoothly. If not, the headaches you talk about occur.

To remove your talk pages, put {{delete}} in the article text. Then, if a consensus is reached, we'll delete them. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 22:31, 20 January 2006 (GMT)

Please look at http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/User_talk:Ruventsoria where anyone can see that Gruenberg told me to put up {{inclusion}} tags, then you came along and changed the requirements, without explaining just what a "speedy deletion tag" is, nor where I could find out what they are on my own. You repeatedly refused to either inform me or to tell me where I could find things out on my own. I have tried to be polite, but your arrogance has been the only response you could be bothered to give. Your condemnation of me for "not following procedures" is, at best disingenuous. If you want them followed, then tell people either what they are, or where they can be found.
As well, what is this "put {{delete}} in the article text."?? There is no article text to put them in!
Please cease to interfere, Pacitalia. It is clear you will not treat me with common human courtesy. Please leave this to Gruenberg, who has displayed his willingness to help and be courteous.

Re: Ruventsoria

I thought I wasn't allowed to interfere anymore. ;)

No, normally we do not, but Ruventsoria is being quite the pain in the ass that we might as well just do it and archive the talk page's current contents for future reference. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 18:40, 24 January 2006 (GMT)
