Help

How do I make it stop saying I have new messages? I've had the new messages notice for ages about the same message.

The Resurgent Dream 2alk

Fancy signatures

That's great, thanks

Talk:Main_Page

Great idea. Maybe we can bring it up with Goober. --Pacitalkia 09:10, 21 November 2005 (GMT)

Linking to Categories

Is it possible to link to a category without actually putting the article in the category? Thanks. ~ Ceo rant (or rave) 01:22, November 23, 2005 (GMT)

Sorry to butt in on your talk page, Gruen, but I can answer the question, so... :P Sorry, though. Ceo, yes, you can. When you link, just go like this [[:Category:whatever|whatever]]. That should do it for you. --Pacitalkia 03:17, 23 November 2005 (GMT)
Fine by me. Gruen2alk 08:18, 23 November 2005 (GMT)

Belated thank you for work on IDU category

Thanks, Green Mountain (it's the same in German as in Bazitlan (sp., sorry), for a helpful hint and free labour to make our region better. I'm not the UN Delegate anymore, but I'll spread the word. We've had several leading NS and NSWiki members CTE, only to reappear. I'm sure when school or RL issues settle, more people will be able to take greater advantage of your creation.

Comprehensive solution to Sober Thought issues with NSWiki implications

Gruenberg --

I left a long (!) note at User talk:Sober Thought of how I plan to fix the problems or issues you and others have identified in the Category:Sober Thought articles, and how some of these will help (or at least impact) upon the NSWiki in general. If you have time in the next week, could you please give them a once over, state your objections, indicate your assent or make suggestions? Vielen Dank, or Dankje viel (sorry, such little Dutch as I have absorbed is very rusty). I'll start using the proposed system right away (since it does conform more to Wiki conventions than some of what I have done to date), and within a week I'll start retroactively applying it by moving, #REDIRECTing and otherwise messing with existing articles.

Thanks.

Response to comment on User talk:Ceorana

Thanks. It was a sort of dumb introduction, so I revamped it and desectioned it so it's above the TOC. Thanks for your help. → Ceo|squawk 19:30, November 29, 2005 (GMT)

Page moving over redirect

Thanks for fixing [[Sober Thought]. However, when doing a technical delete to move a page over a redirect, it's best to undelete the page history, as there's no reason not to have it. I've done that. --Goobergunch|? 00:10, 30 November 2005 (GMT)

Admin Move Request

I've noticed a double-redirect to an incorrectly titled page. Land of Lusitans redirects to Lustains which redirects to Lusitans. However, the actual nation name is "Land of Lusitans". So Lustains needs to be admin-moved to Land of Lusitans.

On the other hand, it and some of the other Empire Earth nation pages might be speedy deletion candidates, because they were all made by Tetris L-Shaped Block with the purpose of defacing Empire Earth, which had just invaded Pink Floyd. → Ceo|squawk 19:02, November 30, 2005 (GMT)

Thanks. → Ceo|squawk 19:20, November 30, 2005 (GMT)
I repointed all the links to Land of Lusitans and slapped a {{delete}} tag on it. I think that's the last one. → Ceo|squawk 19:36, November 30, 2005 (GMT)

Welcome Messages

Not that it matters, but for reasons like the one on this talk page, it might be better to use {{subst:welcome}} instead of {{welcome}} on user talk pages. Experienced users will know anyway, but that's not who we post the message on, right? → Ceo|squawk 23:58, November 30, 2005 (GMT)
