I was looking for the Kingdom of Tumnore on NationStates, but couldn't find it. If it's not a NS nation, it should probably go in your factbook category rather than the Nation category, as that is reserved for live NS nations. → Fris Θtalk

That's because it wasn't made yet. Apologies! I got ahead of myself. Tumnore has been a background nation for some time, but now it's a 'real' one. Ax-turath and Ma-Nenya don't exist right now either, but I just need to get those resurrected. ICEL 21:18, 7 Nov 2004 (GMT)

When you create pages for those new nations, check NSwiki:naming conventions first. The standard pagename is Nationname without pretitle, for several good and useful reasons. Thanks. → Fris Θtalk 23:40, 7 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Hum. Kay. I saw that, but the actual name of the nation is partly translated to save confusion. Okay, though, I'll alter it. ICEL 01:00, 8 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Thanks for doing that. Next time, you'll find it easier to use the Move tab, which renames the page and leaves a redirect at the old name. See NSwiki:Page moves. → Fris Θtalk 02:48, 8 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Thanks for the info. Amusingly enough, though, I remembered that (this is not the first wiki I've used) after I did it the wrong way. Whoops. ICEL 21:05, 8 Nov 2004 (GMT)

I moved one of your pages, EOTED I think. From NSwiki:naming conventions again ...

  • Prefer spelled-out phrases to acronyms
  • Avoid the use of acronyms in page naming unless the term you are naming is almost exclusively known only by its acronym and is widely known and used in that form (NASA and radar are good examples).

Just lettin' ya know. → Fris Θtalk 23:26, 8 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Yeah, you moved 'EOTEF'. I was actually about to do so, as I'd followed a link to it from one of my other pages and was playing the 'catchup on the references' game. But, to note: the country-names EOTED, EOTEF, and ICEL are the forms most commonly used, which is why all of them were linked to in that way. ICEL 23:32, 8 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Please use the preview button

ICEL,
I've noticed that you've been saving the same page many times, trying to figure out how a piece of code works. Please make use of the "Show preview" button, found next to the "Save page" button at the bottom of the page. Each time a page is saved, a copy of the current revision is saved. This is an important feature of NSwiki, as it helps us prevent vandalism, but is also uses up server space. This adds up quickly when the page is saved many times. Using "Show preview" allows you to check all changes, to make sure you haven't made any mistakes in the code, without unnecessarily saving. So if you're trying to perform a complicated bit of code, please click the "show preview" button before saving the page. Thanks for using NSwiki responsibly. Gruen2alk 14:34, 13 December 2005 (GMT)
