factbook categories

You've got two factbooks that I'm aware of: Category:Phoenix Dynamix and Category:The Phoenix Milita. We've requested that nations confine themselves to a single factbook, to be located in Category:Factbooks. Do ya think you could combine the two, perhaps? → Fris Θtalk 23:38, 8 Dec 2004 (GMT

well Phoenix Dynamix is actually its own nation, although a puppet. How exactly do I combine the two, or delete one of them? John 04:29, 9 Dec 2004 (GMT)
Phoenix Dynamix is listed as a corporation and is itself a member of Category:The Phoenix Milita, which is a bit confusing, but fine. We just don't want to get buried in cross-related categories, and making one per primary account is kinda the de facto standard.
Combining them is easy - just replace all appearances of one (in each listed article) to the other, then add a {{delete}} tag to whichever you want to get rid of. → Fris Θtalk 05:06, 9 Dec 2004 (GMT)
blast! i deleted but then found i could make it a sub- category of the phoenix milita, which is what i am now going to do John 09:09, 9 Dec 2004 (GMT)

NSwiki isn't a global weapons catalog

John, early in the wiki, we had a couple of users who wanted to turn NSwiki into a comprehensive storehouse of information about weapons that are used in the game, or a great place to duplicate their Storefronts. We (the sysops and the users in question) had long discussions about that in IRC (and probably here as well, but I don't remember where), and came to the conclusion that we didn't really want all that info jamming the categories, nor did we want an elaborate set of weaponry subcategories.

I'm bringing this up because you've started loading a bunch of individual weapons systems. If this is stuff that duplicates information already in your storefront, we don't want it here (a link is better). If you look at some of the other Hardware entries (Fist of Alpha for example), you'll see that there is frequently information that ties it to roleplay events and is actually encyclopedic. Your entries aren't encyclopedic, they are a sale catalog. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not what we're doing on THIS site.

I'm asking you to either turn these into encylopedia entries or mark them for deletion. If you do the former, you need to follow NSwiki:Naming conventions and not create entries as acronyms. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to respond here, on my Talk page, or in IRC. Thanks. → Fris Θtalk 12:54, 10 Dec 2004 (GMT)

blah

I looked at some of the ns weapons in the weapons catalog, looked like it was trying to be a catalog of all the diffrenet weapons used in ns and stuff like that so meh.. most of the non-wikipedia wpns look like just a style of storefront entry im used to seeing on II by other ppl, my storefront entries are a bit different than that but I consider them to get pretty much the same point across which is why i thought i should add all 30 or so guns i have designed. i have put them in for deletion. I just thought it vould be good to give you information about reverting: NSwiki:Tip_of_the_day_archive#Undoing_edits , it may be useful if you haven't already discovered how to do it. Compliments, Rechze(talk) 20:55, 30 Dec 2004 (GMT)
