Thanks for the note on my talk page; please feel free to steal my formatting and content in any way, shape, or form you please.  It's flattering that you care enough to like it.  I've been horribly busy of late and haven't had much time for any kind of leisure pursuits between working, school, and organizing Pride Society for the beginning of the semester.  Hopefully things will settle into a quieter pattern and I can return to business as usual at some point in the near future.  Be well!

Revision as of 13:17, 30 August 2005

Hi there. I just noticed that you have two entries in the as-yet-unformed Category of Currencies. As you are at this point the only one who has even mentioned such a thing, I'm going to ask you to consider just leaving it in your national factbook for now. I could see making a Eategory:Economics sometime, but currency is just too darn specific for the general list of categories at the moment. The consensus is to keep categories (with the exception of National and Regional Factbooks) extremely limited for now. Click my Talk link if you wish to rebut. Thanks! Taking credit for articles? Nah. Creating them by gathering information from multiple sources, organizing it, referencing it, formatting it, adding it to the wiki, and creating cross-reference links - yeah, I think I deserve author rights. If I'd written an article about Thomas Edison for Wikipedia, you wouldn't expect me to have invented the light bulb, would you? Yeah, not much of my material is original - I'm a better editor than author - but I've been concentrating on the core articles of the game rather than my own (non-existent) RP history. Somebody had to do it, so I did. → Fris Θtalk 12:40, 19 Nov 2004 (GMT)

NSwiki:Naming conventions

I've moved all the "Category:Sports Teams" to "Sports teams" and "Sports Leagues" to "Sports leagues". I'd appreciate it if you'd follow the naming conventions (lowercase after the first word except for proper nouns) when creating articles and categories in future. Thanks. → Fris Θtalk 17:14, 29 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Liverpool England Edit reply

I have not questioned your right to submit articles. The simple fact of the matter is that the whole point of Wikipedia is to create articles that are edited by the community to make them better. Unless you can get a page protected, you do not have the right to tell people who can and who can't edit "your" pages - since there is no such thing as "ownership" of articles on Wikipedia.

I apologise for not informing you of the change, but that is not normally the way things are done. I would certainly not be complaining if people came along and fixed spelling or grammar errors in things I have written... because the text I have submitted is not my work any more - it belongs to the community. If you are really that concerned, you are free to restore the spelling mistake and I won't bother helping others in future.

Spelling of the word "argument"

There is no such thing as a "North American" spelling of this word. There is only one way to spell it.

There is no such word as "arguement". "Argument" is the correct spelling. http://www.answers.com/argument&r=67

I hope we can put this behind us now. --Eddie 10:27, 6 Mar 2005 (GMT)

World Cup 22

Are you gonna put results up on the wiki, or should we wait until some kind volunteer does that? Cockbill Street 20:06, 22 May 2005 (GMT)

OK, good stuff. Cockbill Street 07:02, 23 May 2005 (GMT)

I'll start the World Cup 22 page now, at least, and put up qualifying tables. You have to put up scores from round 2 onwards, though, as they're not in the scores thread! Cockbill Street 09:32, 29 May 2005 (GMT)

Finished now. Worth noting is that the Oaker - Squornshelous result was nowhere to be found - I'll hear with Vil if he's got it. Cockbill Street 13:33, 6 Jun 2005 (GMT)
