Major Uncaught Linkspam

Shadowstorm Imperium Ruins has been majorly linkspammed for at least a month (I think), but no one caught it. I just went and removed the linkspam, but do we need to block everyone who has linkspammed it? Thanks, → Ceo \ squawk 22:17, 21 January 2006 (GMT)

OK. By the way, what's the normal block length for linkspam? I've been doing three months, since that's what seems to be the standard, but is there a more complicated system? → Ceo \ squawk 00:09, 22 January 2006 (GMT)

Coloured signatures

How did you manage to have your signature coloured?

Thanks --Constantina 17:32, 23 January 2006 (GMT)

Do we normally delete talk pages? I thought we generally kept them, so there was a record of why pages were deleted. Gruen2alk 14:22, 24 January 2006 (GMT)

Ok, I'll do that. And I'll leave a note about his behaviour towards you, too. Gruen2alk 20:11, 24 January 2006 (GMT)

Template:AO Nations

But I was finished! It seems the software disallows background images, so what I intended to do is not possible. Can you revert your revert now, or can you explain the meaning of a table with six column headers—four of which are empty—but only one column of data? :P —Commerce Heights (talk) 06:09, 30 January 2006 (GMT)

Yes, I can see how:
<br clear="all" />
bgcolor="#E0EEEE" align="center" width=6% | <font size=5
 color=#2F4F4F>AO</font>
bgcolor="#53868B" align="left" width=66% | <font size=3 color=white>>>>
 Atlantian Oceania on NSwiki</font>
bgcolor="#42757A" width=7% |
bgcolor="#316469" width=7% |
bgcolor="#205358" width=7% |
bgcolor="#1F4247" width=7% |
…

is much more æsthetically pleasing than:
<dl style="clear: both; margin: 0 auto; width: 80%; font-size: 90%"
 class="toccolours">
<dt style="padding: 0.2em 0.2em 0.2em 1em; background: #53868B; color: #FFF;
 font-size: large; margin-bottom: 0.5em">Atlantian Oceania on NSwiki</dt>
<dd style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0.5em">Main
 articles: Atlantian Oceania, AO QuickInfo</dd>
…
</dl>
<includeonly></includeonly>
But it really doesn’t make a difference if the wikitext is “classier,” as you put it, as long as the correctly marked-up document is sent to user agents—something the table method does not accomplish. —Commerce Heights (talk) 21:53, 30 January 2006 (GMT)

Timothy Ell - Award?

I'd like to award your former Prime Minister Timothy Ell with my nation's (yet to be described in a wiki) Civilian Medal of Distinguished Service, for his outstanding achievements in the foreign political arena and in defense of peace (not to mention Pacitalia's status as a major influencer on my continuing construction of my national background and lore). In addition, I'm considering naming a military naval vessel after him. Is all that alright?

Really, I just think you did a great job building his character, and wanted to establish some sort of recognition. -- the Philosophes 02:33, 31 January 2006 (GMT)

Awesome. Eventually, there'll be a note on my national page, but you're of course free to put it down on Ell's page at your convenience. I would do it, but I think you've got it well under control :P -- the Philosophes 03:09, 31 January 2006 (GMT)

Main Page

Time to feature Pacitalia, I'd say. Would you like to choose the sections, or would you rather another sysop did it? Gruen2alk 03:36, 1 February 2006 (GMT)

(no title)

Why did you change the Portland Wiki to Portland (Sarzonia)? AFAIK, there isn't another Portland...

I'd seriously like to see an opportunity for those who write their articles to have some sort of veto rights over edits they don't agree with. Sarzonia 00:43, 4 February 2006 (GMT)

Unprotection of Talk:Main Page

I've moved Talk:Main Page to Talk:Main page and unprotected it in an effort to open up discussion, since it seems like it's been a while since you protected it. → Ceo \ squawk 04:23, 4 February 2006 (GMT)

Currencies

I've made Template:Currencies, similar to your Languages one. Thoughts? Gruen2alk 16:58, 23 February 2006 (GMT)

Talking

You said you wanted me to talk with you on the IM thing? Problem is, I do not have any instant messenging things. --Swilatia 13:44, 25 February 2006 (GMT)

If you say that TGs do fine, then when does this start? --swilatia 19:42, 25 February 2006 (GMT)

I'm ready now. --swilatia 19:46, 25 February 2006 (GMT)

Your the best!

Just thought, I'd just spread the joy in thanking you getting me started on NSWiki. From, Canada.

Re: Move revert

OK. I didn't realize there was precedent for leaving a page at the wrong title. –|–– Ceo \ rant 21:02, 5 March 2006 (GMT)

Capitals

Greetings, I edited the 'capital' NSwiki column and created a 'Category: Capital' page instead so that all who have capitals can note their capitals there. Just giving you a heads up, feel free to alter it if you don't like just it is better to allow all to post their capitals on a central page. Cheers.

Feature

Is it time to change the featured article? ~Gruen2 09:47, 22 March 2006 (GMT)

need help with "search"

Why does the "search" box on the left side of NSWiki, by default, search the "MediaWiki Talk" and "Template Talk" namespaces only? I suggest that the default behavior be to search both the main namespace and the NSWiki namespace. 138.88.19.65 06:22, 16 April 2006 (GMT)

Actually, the default is to search all parts of the NSwiki database. Users are allowed to set their preferences, however, so check your Preferences page as well as on the search page. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 06:24, 16 April 2006 (GMT)
For some reason, it doesn't work that way for me. Regardless of whether I use Microsoft Internet Explorer in Windows, or Netscape 7.02 in Mac OS 9.0.4, it always defaults to search "MediaWiki Talk" and "Template Talk" only. I usually am not logged in (or, that is, logged in only by IP address). Which brings me to another question: I have a user login, but I forgot the login name? Apparently the lost-password tool only works if I know my login name. 138.88.19.65 06:31, 16 April 2006 (GMT)
That would be correct - you need to be logged in to change prefs, cos you can't set anything permanent as a guest. If you forgot your username, just sign up as something else. No worries. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 22:58, 16 April 2006 (GMT)

Mandragora

Hi. I hope you don't mind: I've edited your page University of Mandragora to state that North-West Ariddian leader Jasmina Wu studied there. If it's a problem, I can remove it. Aridd 13:01, 16 May 2006 (GMT)

Can you help Niploma be a featured article?

Box Problem

Everytime I try to put my country's history in my Country wiki, it comes out in box stretching across the entire page.

Can you show me the code you tried to post in that article? It might have been that, otherwise there could be formatting problems with your infobox. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 19:08, 20 July 2006 (GMT)
