Please contact Goobergunch about any image changes. I don't know anything about the image uploads - I suspect you'll need him to handle a replacement. → Fris Θtalk 01:15, 16 May 2005 (GMT)

I'm fairly sure that you should be able to just upload over it. However, since I won't be here for the next week, I'm just going to upload it now manually. You might want to try it yourself at some point and tell me what happens. --Goobergunch|? 01:59, 16 May 2005 (GMT)

Thumbnailing images

The thumbnailing function of MediaWiki involves the creation of a new image in a /thumb/ directory. Due to safe mode restrictions, the current server environment won't permit the creation of a new image via the execution of a script. There's not much I can do about this personally. --Goobergunch|? 17:35, 30 May 2005 (GMT)

Page renaming

Done. In the future, you can rename pages yourself by selecting the "move" tab above the page in question. --Goobergunch|? 15:50, 31 May 2005 (GMT)

Watched articles list

you wrote, "It seems that the WAL is not updated: I had decided to see only the 3 last days modification, but still I can see all modified article, from october! It is an error of the database?"

Ah, you're probably talking about your personal My watchlist. Yeah, I see what you mean. Mine shows everything I've ever highlighted to be watched ... which suits me fine. But you're probably right, it's most likely a problem with the code. Leave this message up and I'll drop a note on Goobergunch's page and ask him to look into it. I'm just a sysop here. This needs an admin's touch. → Fris Θtalk 02:25, 16 Jun 2005 (GMT)

I'll confirm that problem. Could be an artifact of when I was messing with the code to try to fix the Infobox Nation problem. The wiki software is due for an upgrade (1.4.5) shortly, so we'll see if that fixes the problem. --Goobergunch|? 16:34, 17 Jun 2005 (GMT)
Upgrade complete, and the problem seems to be fixed - it appears to have been a MediaWiki 1.4.4 problem after all, according to the release notes. --Goobergunch|? 17:55, 19 Jun 2005 (GMT)

Superb party logos!

The logos you have created for your parties are absolutely gorgeous. Could you tell me how you made them, and what program you used? I'd love to be able to make equally good logos and symbols for my parties (and my nation!). -- Constantinopolis 19:16, 1 Jul 2005 (GMT)

They are made with Paint Shop, and based with no-standard fonts. Rufus T. Firefly 12:03, 3 Jul 2005 (GMT)

Hmmm

you seem to pay quite a bit of attention to my article....

thanks for editing the format though

re: Tarriff article

I do not like infoboxes, particuarly the character one, at all. The one on my nation article is bad enough, and I'm even thinking of deleting that one. They detract, I feel, from the professionalism of the NS wikipedia as a whole; I don't open an encylopedia article about, say, David Beatty and expect to see his mugshot, his 'official title', and a list of his favorite fruits. I've been through all this before - though I've quite forgotten where and with whom - and don't care to get into it again. I'll just say that I don't like infoboxes in the very many articles, including Edward Tarriff (note the double 'r') in which I have left them out and would greatly prefer not to have anyone add them in. Iansisle 29 July 2005 00:10 (GMT)

Well, I am certainly sorry that you find my articles long and boring. However, I will not deny that I find your infoboxes juvenile and unneeded; I feel that they serve only to cheapen the hard work which I have put into my articles. Perhaps an agreement to disagree is in order? Iansisle 29 July 2005 07:47 (GMT)
And I'm saying that I think infoboxes look unprofessional and detract from the quality of the article. That's why I don't use them. Iansisle 29 July 2005 09:44 (GMT)
Your choices, friend. Rufus T. Firefly 2 August 2005 07:56 (GMT)

Antipater XLVIII Nectanebo

A question-why did you add a photo frame to Antipater XLVIII Nectanebo? (the pages creator)

Actually it wasn't me, but DavidKartaš. Also, why not make an account? :) Rufus T. Firefly 17:09, 24 August 2005 (GMT)

Re: linkspam to Paulo Ribeiro

Paulo Ribeiro has been linkspammed repeatedly over the last few days. What do you think of the idea of temporarily protecting it? Gruen2alk 18:03, 14 December 2005 (GMT)

For me, it's ok. But you must contact the admins. Rufus T. Firefly 18:57, 14 December 2005 (GMT)
Ok, I've temporarily protected it after reverting more linkspam. If you want to edit it, let me or another sysop know, and we'll unprotect it for you. I'll unprotect it in a month or so, and hopefully that'll be enough. Gruen2alk 14:02, 16 December 2005 (GMT)
