Consider creating a factbook. --138.88.88.75 00:49, 2 Dec 2004 (GMT)

I most likely will, when I get around to it. The Mindset 01:05, 2 Dec 2004 (GMT)
Unless you have more articles than show up under this ID, you don't need one. All a factbook does is provide a private category for storing related articles. Under this User account, I only see The Mindset and Plaarnan (which is already overcategorized - remove the stub?) plus a region and a few other random pages. What else would you put in it? → Fris Θtalk 01:09, 2 Dec 2004 (GMT)
I was under the impression that Plaarnan was under the category of Plaarna, which I will be adding too more. Is it this category I add as a factbook? The Mindset 01:13, 2 Dec 2004 (GMT)

I was going through the NSwiki upload log and I found that you had uploaded the following image:

I was, however, unable to find where these images were used in the NSwiki. Since NSwiki is not a file storage area, please tell me what the images are used for (you can respond by clicking the question mark in my signature) quickly or the images will be deleted. Thanks. --Goobergunch|? 20 July 2005 19:24 (GMT)

Tu Conlang

Wandering through the conlang pages, I noticed yours. Perhaps you are familiar with my neglected conlang Matsui, or perhaps you're still around and you've noticd my new pride and joy which will not be abandoned, Nordaþ. I am collaborating with one other person to create a conworld separate from NS. I would like to know if you would wish to be a part of this conworld. Gracias. Matsu 21:05, 4 September 2005 (GMT)

I'm afraid I haven't heard of either conlang, but I must say that Nordaþ does look very interesting. Ónosh is hardly my pride and joy, I developed the (highly) basic alphabet and grammar in around a hour for one roleplay. I haven't really used it since, and it's unlikely I'll continue with it. Perhaps you've heard of PHPWordGen, which I created to help facilitate the creation of words based upon your own phonological constraints. I would be interested in taking part in a conworld, especially if it gave me the chance to develop a conlang with reference to surrounding influences. I can be contacted on MSN via brettdorrans@hotmail.com if you wish to discuss this further. The Mindset 21:31, 4 September 2005 (GMT)
Heh, well. It's the only conlang I saw by you here (not to say I was looking that much). But it looks better than most of the conlangs here, and if you made that in one hour, yeesh. ;x Anyhow, will contact you via MSN, and will invite my friend along to discuss it. Wikia/Wikicities - not going to happen

There are several reasons why I'm not going to relinquish control of NSwiki.

  1. I like having database access. It's rather useful for when people tell me they have issues with their account. Also, it's nice being able to make database backups myself, as opposed to "Wikia, or any individual wiki, may be discontinued at any time and without any liability to any user."
  2. Unified login. I think there's a fairly high probability that a registered user here might run into a naming conflict with existing logins.
  3. Advertisements will never appear on NSwiki pages as long as I have any say on the matter. I'm also tired of everybody on the Internet kowtowing to Google; I don't mind if they crawl over NSwiki, but they're not getting any more access to my site than a normal, unregistered user would.
  4. Interwiki links, which ties into #1. There are a couple additions to the interwiki database table that I've made to allow links to other NS-affiliated wikis, which would likely be lost.
  5. I'd rather run tech support for NSwiki myself, rather than outsource it to somebody else. Even if it means having to deal with certain issues. Which reminds me, I'm going to go poke my hosting provider about my DB again.
