The NASCAR Dominated SuperState of VMCountry is a massive, devout nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population is ruled without fear or favor by a corrupt dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "human resoruces"
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 100% and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Uranium Mining.
Owning a tractor is widely regarded as an essential prerequisite to most government positions, environmental protestors are being rounded up and taken away in sinister black vans as a massive land development campaign gets underway, the nation has recently been attributed to the funding of terrorist organisations, and the teaching of evolution has been banned. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. VMCountry's national animal is the NASCAR Driver, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the NASCAR.
