Vampires are a species closely related to human. They have the normal appearence of a human, except they may show two long, sharp eyeteeth, which are used for biting into arteries of victims. Vampires have a natural desire for & dependency on energy. Though they can drink the blood of wild animals for feeding, they do have a fancy for human blood. If a normal human is bitten by a vampire they become a vampire themselves. Vampires live in small clans or covens, each lead by a Royal vampire. Vampires live much longer lives than normal humans do. As well, unlike a typical human, they can only be killed by a few methods. First of all, they are nocturnal beings & higly sensitive to light, especially sunlight. Secondly, a stake through the heart will kill them. Also, it is said that vampires can be weakened by crosses, holy water, or garlic. The belief exists that if a head vampire is killed, his whole clan will die, too.

Vampires will at times drink each other's blood. To them, to drink the blood of your lover is the greatest form of physical intimacy.

Some vampires, however don't feed on blood. There are types feeding on psychic energy, dreams, elements or emotions.

DemonLordEnigma

In DemonLordEnigma, a variety of vampires exist that are caused by a virus known as the Sarkarasetan Vampiric Virus. It results in the victims needing blood, like all vampirisms, and gives them increased strength, speed, and regeneration of tissues. It also gives them an effective form of immortality by editting out the shutdown commands present in cells, causing them to continue their division cycle indefinitely. However, the virus only affects adults, due to a currently unknown reason, and the victims of it are not affected by sunlight, holy objects, or the person who infected them dying. That said, Sarkarasetan vampires are still vulnerable to a wide range of ways to die that apply to Sarkarasetans. They do not have any appearance differences from Sarkarasetans.

Demontropius

Vampires have been living together with demons in Demontropius since prehistory. They are supplied with fresh blood daily by their leader, although it's unknown where he's getting this blood.

Gurenn

Vampires living in Gurenn immigrated from Demontropius. Vampires have the same rights as human beings here and are supplied with blood from voluntarily donors.

SAGA-6

There is a deserted castle in the Eastern Badlands which is home to the vampire Lord Alucarde (which means "(e)Dracula" spelled backwards). This is the only vampire known of, though it is likely he created lots of minions after Jin Jade Juro's Ninja Squad had been captured by him. Though Jim, Sherryl and Jin pounded Alucarde with every weapon they possessed, including Jin's perfect Ninjutsu, Sheryll's Magic and Jimmy's own undead abilities, they only managed to kill most of the minions he had created from the remains of Jin's ninja squadron (how many of these new vampires, that were just mindless zombies, "survived" this bloodbath is unknown), they could not kill the vampire himself, though he was incapacitated long enough to allow them to escape. This could either mean that this vampire is somewhat close to complete immortality, but since his opponents lacked any of the items usually associated with killing vampire, it is not known if he had succumbed to holy water, crucifixes, garlic or a wooden stake driven through the heart. As mentioned, bites from Alucarde turn humans into mindless zombies, not vampires, though it is possible that he could create new vampires from his victims if he wishes.
