Club de Fútbol Vaqueros de Plenfia is a Vassfforcian football club which plays in the Liga de Fútbol de Vassfforcia (LFV).

They are the current champions of the LFV.

History

The Club de Fútbol Vaqueros de Plenfia was originally founded by a group of Huguenots from Plenfia (northern Hilvenídica-Plenfia) on 1902. Then, on 1908, when the LFV was founded, they entered the league with the support of the Montajìque do Sul Patrician House who built the first stadium in the city of Plenfia. By 1939 it was already the most popular team of the province and the team moved to Hilvenídica although they kept its original name.

Tactics

They ussually play with a 4-3-3 formation which may be changed to a 4-2-4 formation; this is because Vaqueros is an offensive team.

Further Information

Since the team entered into the LFV, with the Montajìque’s do Sul support, there has been an infamous rivalry between the Vaqueros and the Caballos Salvajes de Montaura (Montaura Wild Horses), team supported by the Montajìque; nevertheless, this was not more but a transfer from a traditional regional rivalry between the Plenfians (Vassfforcians from Tirritidivá and Hilvenídica-Plenfia) and Montaurans.
Vaqueros’ fans are infamous for their aggressiveness through the country and when they have lost in Hilvenídica the gendarmes have been forced to intervene. Neither Hilvenídica nor Prubdablia are willing to have a match between the Vaqueros and the Wild Horses, as on their last match in Hilvenídica on 1996 nine people died and more than two hundred were injured on the riots that followed the match in spite of all the efforts made by the gendarmes.
