The Verino was the official currency of Antrium between August 21, 2005 and February 21, 2007. It has now been replaced by the IDU's optional regional currency, the Conargo.
Description
Verinos were introduced on August 21, 2005 by President of the Antrium Mint, Mirros Valso. They were available in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100-verino amounts. Verinos were small, square paper bills, equal to approximately $1.475 as of November 6, 2005. They were divided into 100 centis, which come in 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32-centi amounts.
Abbreviations, Codes, and Names
The ISO Currency Code for the verino is ANVR. In Antrium, the abbreviations V$ or ◊ are often used. They are called verinos in both English and French, and verînos in Alvésin.
