The Theocratic Republic of Verodia is a Theocratic Republic situated in the Eastern Hemisphere of Gaea. Currently Verodia has no borders with other nations, it only borders the ocean.
Verodia was founded on September 24, 2007 on Gaea following decades of planet-wide anarchy that had been going on since the 1900s. When this nation founded it had to start off new and had to create a completely new culture, one of the many things that were lost in the anarchy.

Geography
Currently Verodia is very small so it lacks a diverse geography. Within it's current borders is mostly flat coastal land with some dense forests farther inland. At the very northern border of the nation is a small mountain, one of the two mountains on the island. A small river, the Alexander River, runs through the center of the nation.
History
Pre-Verodia
Over 100 years before Verodia's existence, Gaea was a thriving planet filled with many nations, people, and cultures. But then in the 1900s the world economies collapsed, tensions rose, wars started, and the world entered international anarchy. For decades following that the remaining people on the planet lived a life of trying to survive. Finally in 2007, some people decided to attempt to restore order, and nations began to rise from the ruins of the old world.
Early Verodia
One of the people seeking to restore order was Alexander Lee, who founded Verodia. Following it's founding, the constructing of the new culture began.
Government & Politics
Currently Verodia is the world's only Theocracy. Verodia is an authoritarian nation with the President taking up the position of Head of State and Head of Government. The President has a Cabinet which advises him. Currently Verodia has no formal constitution. Voting is compulsory and suffrage is 16 years of age.
Foreign Relations
Verodia is a mostly isolationist nation. Currently on Gaea there are only two other official nations, Austrasistein and Windsorium. The relations with Windsorium are neutral. Though the Austrasistein government has been generous to Verodia, the relations at the moment are slightly strained due to arguments between the two nations over their cultural differences.
Military
The President is the Supreme Commander of the Verodian military, and the Minister of Defense also acts as a second "Semi-Supreme" Commander of the Verodian military. The military is made up of the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, and the Air Force. Currently Verodia's only military activity is in the lands north of it's borders where the anarchist guerrilla fighters are, and in areas along the coast where pirates sometimes attack ships.
Economy
Verodia is a "semi-capitalist" nation with a mixed economy.
Demographics
The nation of Verodia lacks a diverse population. One-hundred percent of the population is White. The common Verodian has either blonde or brown hair and either blue or brown eyes. Ninety-eight percent of the population follows Christianity, the remaining 2% being a mix between Agnostic and Atheist. Also 100% of the people speak Verodia's native language, Verodian(which is mostly identical to English).
Education & Health
Verodian education is compulsory, whether it be public or private. The public education system is operated by the government, specifically the Ministry of Education. The schools teach to kids what they need to know for their future jobs. School starts with Kindergarten, around the age of 6, and goes through Grade 12, around the age of 18. Following Grade 12, they move on to a college of their choice, public or private.
The Verodian healthcare system uses a mix of public and private funding. At the moment the system is slightly socialized due to the government wanting to restore the population's health following the decades of no healthcare.
