Located at the confluence of the Birana River and the Splarka River, Vilvek is the capital of Swilatia, and for this reason it is set aside as a separate province. The largest city in Swilatia, it is massive, disorganised, and continuously expanding in all directions; upwards into skyscrapers, outwards into suburbs, and even downwards, with some of the city's people living underground.
Besides being the nation's capital, the city is also considered the centre of Swilatia in other ways. Many Swilatian companies have their headquarters in Vilvek, although some may be in different cities, and the city's main station, Vilvek Central Station, is the main hub of the Swilatian Rail Network.
The city is served by two airports, Vilvek Atali Saranisko International Airport (VVK), located within the city proper, is used primarily for international flights, whil Vilvek White Creek Airport (WCV), located outside the city, but still within the province, is used mostly for domestic flights or by low-cost airlines.
