Vlaanderen

History

Vlaanderen (In English Flanders) is in reality a region within Belgium. Belgium contains 3 communities: The dutchspeaking Flemish people, Walonian, German. Vlaanderen is strifing for independence from her early ages down the history of time. Some are still not pleased with the way Vlaanderen is within Belgium. It also leaves her marks even within these Nationstates.

The Blades of Conquest

Recently, August 2006, a group of invaders from Blades of Conquest and Corporate Conservative attacked Vlaanderen for a few weeks. The leader Zokora had little influence even with 20 invaders as backup. So doing he could not kick the hardcore members of Vlaanderen. These are Xanath, Neliana (former delegate), TwistedStrife and Nord Flanders. Eventually, despite wide-spread support in Corporate Conservative, the leader Rephias felt this attack did not best represent the region's views, and the 8 volunteers were called back. The leading volunteer Disturnn left Corporate Conservative over this decision. Other nations came to the aid of these flemish people buth could not help them as Zokora installed a password and kicked everybody out who even entered without his approval. As it seems that Zokora and his Blades were winning ground, his companions left to prepare for their next mission. Zokora gave up the siege and left the Flemish people victorious once again. Not long after, Rephias(Corporate Conservative) offered an official apology for aiding in the invasian, and declared that Corporate Conservative will come to the aid of Vlaanderen in the future as payment.

Revival

As for long the region stayed a very quiete place. Sometimes people were speaking of a dying region. But since the attack of Zokora and his compagnions something has woken up.

San Francisco Bay Area

On June 25 2007, San Francisco Bay Area attacked the region and banned some natives. The attack was led by Pyrite Gangstas, Commander of the 21st SFBA Peoples Army. The SFBA delegate was The FARC-EP. Pyrite declared that the region, which had existed for over four years, would be destroyed unless the natives denounced Corporate Conservative and cut all contact with it. Nord Flanders defiantly replied that they would denounce nothing, do nothing, and say nothing; they would wait until either SFBA left or banned everyone. FARC-EP retaliated by saying that any native who refused to endorse him would be banned, as would any native trying to organize an uprising. He then went on to quote song lyrics which implied his enemies would be firebombed and shot full of bullets. Pyrite echoed FARC by stating that natives had to endorse FARC, and any uprising would lead to bans. All new nations would also be banned. TwistedStrife and Nord then dropped the hammer, saying that the region already had no ties to Corporate Conservative. Pyrite continued to insist that the natives denounce CC. Twisted and Nord eventually signed a document, while the moderators intervened to drop their own hammer on the proceedings. SFBA then evacuated the region. The next day, the region was password-protected.
