The Weapons of Mass Destruction Deterrence Treaty is a treaty applicable to certain nations in Europe designed to engage in multilateral deterrence.
Weapons of Mass Destruction Deterrence Treaty WHEREAS, nuclear proliferation has increased at an alarming rate throughout Europe over the past several years, WHEREAS, the effects of atomic, chemical, biological, and nuclear weaponry extend far beyond the battlefield and often deal a great amount of unnecessary collateral damage, WHEREAS, the effects of these weapons cannot be contained by political borders and may therefore damage areas and populations existing in an area beyond the borders of the target nation, WHEREAS, the wider population of Europe has no desire to eliminate existing stockpiles of WMD, WHEREAS, unilateral deterrence seems to have no effect on renegade nations while multilateral deterrence yields great results, WHEREAS, the Stuttgart Treaty and the EAWMD have proven to be ineffective in curtailing the threat of WMD use in Europe, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of this treaty:
