History & Information

West Ararat Island had humble beginnings. Late in the last century an under water volcano erupted 30km of the coast of the Israel region. The then active volcano emerged from the sea within weeks of its initial activity. For the next 50 years the volcano continued to build new land and then quickly went silent. What was left was a 8km wide by 12km long island. With ever increasing population and over crowding in the Israel region a group of 5,250 colonists set foot on West Ararat Island claiming it as an independant nation aligned with the countries of Israel. Soon after establishment many more colonists arrived.

The nation's capital, Sinai Cove, is the location of the landing of the first colonists. Biologically the country has no indiginous plants or creatures, although there is now an abundance of Jerusalem Cherry, Date Palms, and exotic grasses growing in the open spaces on the island. The first animal seen on the island was the Western Albatross which is the country's national animal.
