Wilhelm Krause (born Wilhelm Augustus Immanuel Krause III on 12 December 1967) serves as the current Morindiran Chancellor to the Interior.
Krause was nominated by Praetor Natolya M'Kai on 5 November 2000, as Chancellor to the Interior. After being unanimously confirmed by the M'Chaia Party, he was sworn in on 23 December 2000. Krause is the first male Chancellor to the Interior and the only foreign-born member of the High Interior M'Chaia Party Circle.
Personal Information
Wilhelm Krause was born Wilhelm Augustus Immanuel Krause III in Gottesburg, Gavleborg-Uppsala, and raised Roman Catholic by his parents. He has a brother, Johaan, who later became an economist. Krause adopted his shortened new name when he applied for Morindiran citizenship in 1985.
In 1985 he fled to Morindira after his identity as a Morindiran spy was compromised. That may have saved his life, as many other discovered double agents were killed by Gavleborgian police.
Krause attended school in Morindira, and later majored in political science at the Morindiran Academny of Governmental Relations. After Academy graduation in May 1991, he married Valinskya newspaper journalist Bereleyn Movzha, whom he had met working a temporary job with the Valinskya Report.
They had three daughters, twins Amabel and Annika, and Kathryn. When the twins were born six weeks prematurely, Krause took a course in Russian as a distraction while his wife was in the hospital. By the end of her hospital stay, he was fluent in the language.
Krause is multilingual, being fluent in Hebrew, Quenya Elvish, and Swedish in addition to Russian, with good speaking and reading abilities in German, Spanish and English.
