The Maanenland Administrative Zone of Wilnwick is a large modern democratic republic in the region of Europe. It has historically been a Protectorate of the Grand Duchy of Maanenland , the nations neighbour to the north which still retains considerable influence.

History

Wilnwick was originally settled by colonists from the Celtic regions of Europe who had seperated from the original contingent of Dutch and English settlers that settled in the surrounding states.

The territory was an early imperial power in the region conquering many neighbouring tribes and territories annexing nearby kingdoms. By the 10th century modern Wilnwick had formed into four mainly warring kingdoms.

Wilnwick's power by the 17th century had begun a serial decline after years of war had seriously weakened the territory. Nevertherless Wilnwick waged many campaigns with it's neighbours particularly Churtsey and Solden.

Following the 1754 Wilnwick-Maanenland War which had proven costly for Wilnwick , Maanenland declared Wilnwick a colony of Maanenland and took control of adminstration of the three kingdoms and merged them into the present State of Wilnwick.
