The Women's World Cup is a female counterpart of the NationStates World Cup of football, though it remains an entirely independent competition with no formal links to either the World Cup or the World Cup Committee. Women have appeared for World Cup teams for many years, but it took until after World Cup 27 before enough money and interest was raised to see an all-female World Cup hosted - in Chicanada, who have also had a professional women's league, the WomensLiga

The Women's world Cup was discontinued after the 11th edition, due to lack of interest amongst the nations, lack of funding from the World Cup Committee and the inclusion of more women into national teams around the world.

New teams like Los Mexico and Carvalo qualified as did long-shots such as Khenas and San Haven.

In the group stages, the newer teams crumbled and the old guard stood firm. All four of the quarter-final matches were decided by one goal with Haraki being the upset winner over Wentland. But Haraki's miracle run ended with a 5-2 loss to the defending champs in the semis. In the other semifinal, Chicanada tried and failed for the 3rd straight time to reach the final as a rematch of the Women's World Cup 2 final (Yafor 2 vs. Jeruselem) came about.
